Default Quality Tinting Place -- South Shore MA

Hey Guys --

I am in need of a good tint shop. I live on the South Shore. Anyone have any quality place? Been looking around, but would rather go to a place that has done a 350z already...

Thanks in Advance -- Rob

Hi Rob-

There's a place in Brockton (maybe Bridgewater) that is supposed to be pretty good. I remember reading a thread on Freshalloy.com about a bunch of G35s that were planning to go there for some new type of tint (aluminum?) applied. Unfortunately I don't remember the name, but maybe you'll have better luck with Google or even the yellow pages.

EDIT (found it)

Advanced Glass Coating (DBA Advanced Auto Tint on Rt. 106 in West Bridgewater (just off rt 24) 508-588-9800. They do a lot of high end cars.

Also, a couple of people recommended Tint King in Billerica (978-670-2927) as they do everything by computer.

Hey Rob,

I just found another option for you:

Protechtint.com.. I think they are in Weymouth and the guy who does the tinting also owns a Z (or so I'm told)

Rob,

I might be a little late but I just got mine done at Tint King in Billerica. I had a work function up that way so I went there. They seem to have a very good rep online. I am happy with it so far. $200 out the door for Llumar Semi Metallic Charcoal. All computer cut, he's done several 350Z's including mine. Lifetime warranty against peeling, cracking, bubbling etc. I did legal %.

Hey Guys!

I ended up using Advanced Glass Coating in West Bridgewater ( 5 miles from my work). The guy did EXCELLENT work. The back window is all 1 piece. I did 35% all the way around. Looks great. Thanks again for all your help guys! As always, you guys are there to help! Thanks JC, Mike and Roger!

And the pictures of the tint job are where? Post 'em if you got 'em Rob!

Also, if you don't mind mentioning, how much did they charge you in case others might think about having it done? Thanks.

I will snap some pics this weekend after the Borla TD goes in It was $195 for the whole package and the guy was great. He was very neat and it came out wonderful. Far better than I expected. After having 35% done, if I were to do it all over again, I may have gone 50%, the 35% is darker than I though it was. But overall, it looks great! I have had a LOT of compliments on it already. Looks like its time to get some pics up. Thanks again Roger!

You really thought 35% was too dark??? I thought it wasn't too dark at all. Did they put on 35% film or was the final % ~35% I had 40% film put on which along with the slight factory tint is around 32-35%. If you had 35% film put on you are probably closer to 30% or less and therefore not legal anymore.

BTW where are you getting the Borla? I got it at B&D in Stoughton.

Yah, maybe its just me I told him I wanted it to be legal, so it must be around 40%. He tints a lot of cars so I am sure he put on a little less than 35%.

I got mine off the Net and I am having it installed at a local place -- Lou's Custom Exhaust - they did the exhaust on my Dad's truck and it came out amazing, so I am going to have them put mine on. I can't wait to hear it rumble Whats next for you?

I am thinking a set of HIROS. I am really digging the look of them on the Redline. Either that or the LE-37 in Gunmetal...decisions decisions..lol

importspeed24v.... so that is 35% all around? Doesn't seem too dark. That's what I'm gonna get on my Chrome Silver. How long did it take them to tint it out?

I agree, that is a great job! Have you had a chance to go under an overpass with the Borla yet? Beautiful sound isn't it!

Thanks for the compliments guys! I love the look and the Borla sounds awsome under the overpass. Very deep. I esp like the fact that its quiet in 6th gear, no annoying buzz. I am in love with it.

It took about 2 hours for him to do the whole car. I definately reccomend him, he did great work. If you are in Boston, I would say check out the Tint King, that is where JC had his done and he really liked the work, so you may want to check him out, whom ever is closer I'd say Thanks again guys....next...rims !! I am in love with leemik's TE-37s .... but I don't wanna be a twin Any ideas Mike?

I like the le37t's a lot and would trade for those in a heart beat:
https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....bcarconnection

I like the Volk sf challenge too:
http://www.hopupracing.com/vosfchwh.html

...and I really like the rims that are on Roger's car above.. hawt.. but are those even for sale???

I thought you were deciding on a set of Axis Hiro's? Those rimes look nice in back with the nice lip.. but the front looks weird to me..
