How far from the CT border is this meet in Maine??
I have already met the notorious G at the NJ meet a couple of weekends ago. He was in our caravan down to NJ.
You live in Vermont, but are in CT all the time?? That's quite a haul, no?

Yeh it's a pretty long drive for me, It's the only way I get to see the CT guys as they never come to VT

I'm not sure how far Maine is for you, Hopefully Vic or G will chime in and let you know (I think it's a little over 2 hours).

I just mapped it out through mapquest and it says it takes approx. 3 hours from Middletown (184 miles) so it's probably a little over 2 hours from the CT/MA border.

BTW, I believe this is the "Notorious G" from NJ that Stacey's referring to.

Oh....you pain in the butt........you know where you're gonna seat for the final MET's game, don't you.

Not that notorious is that much more wanting, either

BTW, I am trying to get a new engine strut bar installed; very well enginnered; broarder than any I have come across on the market; solidly designed with double internal walls and sexy curves to clear the hood. If I can get one put on before Ogunquit; I'll show you what I mean. And, if my buddy can manage, I'll also have with me the front & rear lower Tie Braces.

Can't wait.

That sounds about right...I haven't been up to Maine in a while, but if memory serves me, Ogunquit is about 1.5-2 hours away from Worcester.

Still not sure if I can make this one, BTW...will probably have a better idea tomorrow evening after the first week of school is over.

I am also from Connecticut. It's good to see we have some local member. Now I can ask about all the good speed shops near by instead of reading about places in California.

XXTuning in Wethersfield is awesome. Hopefully we'll have another meet there before the end of the year. Keep checking in.

Haha, totally agree. I always think to myself "if i lived in LA I would be able to look outside my front door and there would be a shop there waiting, but unfortionatly in CT its not that easy. Its nice to have a place to come and ask people in our area.

Yeah but it does get frustration at times when a read about all the cool stuff that people are doing to their cars.....oh well maybe it's for the better. I'm sure I would be spending allot more money if these places were cloase by. It looks like a person could make a fortune by openning a speed shop around here. Funny how very few people do, there's obviously a market.

Is anyone interested in bringing the Z's out to the Berlin Turnpike? Maybe a cruise together one saturday night? It would be nice if we could find a spot to park after crusing. Possibly Olympia Diner... ?
Let me know what you think....
If people are interested, maybe we could open it up to some others on the site who live in the area.

Hel-lo, just got back in from Ogunquit, had a fabulous time.

Don't know much about Berlin Turnpike and Olympia Diner; is it better at night?

We've been to the Berlin Turnpike at night on Saturdays and there are just way too many cops.

Last year I had some people stay over from the meet we had and whereever we stopped at the Pike the police came over and kicked us out. It wasn't much fun.

I go to the Pike once in a while but I've been going less and less lately as every time I go there are people all over the place getting pulled over.

You can cruise but you really can't stop anywhere unless you go to eat at one of the restaurants.

I just spoke with the manager at the Burger King on the pike. They have an older car show there every Saturday night...I now have the name and number of the owner, and I can talk to him about one Friday night, holding a gathering there in their parking lot. The shows they do every Saturday night are organized and no one would get kicked out. I can call the owner and just see what he says. I have no idea what's involved with it, but it might be worth a shot. If not, no big deal. But it might be fun to do a get together down there, seeing as though there are so many people out.
Just let me know what you think.

That would be fine with me. Let me know if you can set it up for Friday night (either Sept. 3rd or 10th) and we can post it and see how many people show. It would be a good opportunity to discuss a large meet for sometime in October.
