I will call the guy tomorrow, and see what comes of it. I'll let you know when I hear back from him, and I will definitely try to set it up for either this coming Friday or the next. I think using it to talk about the next meet is a great idea.

I suppose the long weekend of Labor Day could be a possibility; if where we're going is scenic I may decide to overnight, even a couple.

And, if it is close enough, I might even consider staying at the Mohegan Sun; that is if they have rooms available.

I left a message with the owner of the Berlin Burger King today letting him know of the dates we are interested in. I am hoping to hear back from him soon, as the 3rd works best for me too.

Gerald, the Berlin Turnpike is not near Mohegan Sun, however there are a ton of hotels on that strip. It is closer to Hartford as well, which you may be more familiar with the hotels in that area instead. It shouldn't take you more than 45 min to an hour at the most. Just follow the Merrit north, and it eventually turns into the Berlin Turnpike. Newington is also a town you can search for hotels.
Hope to let you all know about it by tomorrow. Should be fun even just to meet up before the next big meet.

I haven't been reading this board much lately. The volume of messages is SO high (and so much of it is off topic) that I can;t keep up like I used to.

 

I have an alternate location if the Turnpike option doesn't work out. There is an organized car show in Vernon (put on by the Tri-Town Cruzers), and my family and I know them very well. They have a car show on Friday nights in a large parking lot, and we could always go there to meet up. There is plenty of room, and I'm sure they would be happy to accomodate our Z's...I'll let you know by this afternoon where we can go. Give me dates (I see the 10th may not be a good one for everyone) that work for everyone. The 3rd, the 17th...

 

Next weekend, Sept 9- 12, I have prescheduled appointments in Boston.

This weekend, the 3rd. is best for me; however, I have a fishing cruise scheduled for Sunday, to Montauk; but it may be moved to Saturday depending on marine conditions.

I need to know early to plan my entire weekend.

If everyone is comfortable with it, we can go ahead and plan on meeting in Vernon at the Cruze Night this Friday, 9.3 between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. This Cruze Night is mainly older cars, but there will be a spot for us all to park. I can post it also, to invite anyone in the area to join us. The show starts at 6pm and runs until 9pm. Friday should be great weatherwise. I can get directions up also on the post.

Not sure if you saw the post, but we have a small gathering in Vernon at Tri-City Plaza, alongside the Cruze Night they have going there on Friday night. The show starts at 6pm until 9pm. Not sure where you are coming from, but coming 84East, it is exit 64 (a double exit), stay left at the exit, and make a left off the exit at the light. Your very next light, make a right into Tri-City Plaza, and the car show is to your left. If you want to mapquest it, use the address "346 Kelly Road" for a restaurant that is across the street from it.

 

I might be able to make it down....that is, if you don't mind having any Massachusetts folks crash the party.
