Question I'm looking for a stereo installer in the NW

Hey everyone!

I'm getting that itch to tinker with my new(er) Z roadster. The problem is, I know I should leave the tinkering to the pro's. So, can I get a recommendation on a stereo installer in the nw / Seattle area? Maybe a small shop or side-work that the installer will stand behind. Spoken like a true former Car Toys customer, (felt that I was $$ squeezed by them on another car).

The OEM Bose system is just pathetic. I've yet to buy anything, but I'm thinking of converting the Bose HU to line out with a PAC converter, add a 4 channel amp, Infinity components up front, coaxials in the rear and a Basslink.

So, looking to buy some equipment and certainly looking for the installer.
Thanks!

I did most of my work myself, but there was a small shop in Kent that had a guy that did great work. It's on Kent Kangley, just west of 104th at the top of the hill. Usually has a classic blue stang out front on display.

I had the same problem. Bose sucked, tried to deal with it, eventually gave up.

Thanks for the reply... I'll stop by their shop next time I'm in that area. Anyone else? Any roadster owners with a recommendation?

(hes an ex car toys employee) got sick of car toys because they were rippin people off with installation prices. (hard to believe... bu its true) he installed my remote start on my Z with a safety lock on it 6MT. as well as the Window up and down option for 380 installed. car toys wanted 800

For a lack of installers getting back to me when I've emailed them, I'm going to Car Toys tommorrow at 9AM for my install appointment. If possible, please reply back with the guy's contact info before then!

Here's what I'm having done:

Audio install work on my ’04 Nissan 350Z Roadster (I have all equipment and some wiring):

-Add PAC line converter to stock Bose HU to give RCA outs
-Infinity separates in the doors (currently stock; stock front speaker location)
-Infinity coax speakers behind seats (currently stock; stock rear speaker location)
-Eclipse 4-channel amp to power above. Placed under seat or the “glove box” behind passenger seat.
-Install Infinity Basslink powered sub-woofer unit in place of the stock subwoofer that’s located behind the driver seat in stock enclosure.

Looking at $550+/- at Car Toys

I didn't get your message in time, so CarToys in Federal Way did the work afterall. Installer was "Mar." The end result was excellent in both the install and the audio results. The FM quality of the Bose HU is ok, but the CD signal is excellent. No regrets here.
