Performance shops in Portland/Beaverton?
Where do you guys take your cars to be worked on? I'm considering a turbo kit for my Z but would want someone that has worked on Z's before...

How are their prices, and do they stock anything?

Dustin-
I think my redline roadster is the only other fully built Z Torque Freaks has done, unless spdkils committed.

Spdkils said TF was going to build an exhaust for his redline coupe. He installed his own APS kit. Overzealous1 built his own motor AND installed his own Greddy kit. We have some good wrenches in the neighborhood.
Jeremy, who did the actual work on my car, left TF months ago. I had lunch with him today.

torque freaks and hp freaks are separate entities. hp freaks is basically a drop shipping online parts place. they stock almost nothing. bummer when i found that out cause i was hoping for a good place to get hard to get parts in town. but ya still gotta wait for shipping.
i'm on dealer cash prices nearly everywhere in town though, and have found some good places that stock a ton of stuff.

Yea, the last time I visited TF, Jason was telling me they want to change their business model to a more "canned" approach. They'll offer Stage 1,2,3 for a specific model car for a fixed-price and will already have the parts list figured out. Kind of a change from working on all makes and installing a lot of customer-supplied parts. My low-compression motor with forged components has been running for about 10,000 miles now.

I try to buy from vendors on my350z.com. I just ordered a different shift ****, replacement oil pressure sender, and Hawk pad from Performance and I got them in two days. They matched price to the best deal I could find on the web. Saaweeet!

I am moving to the PDX area from the Carolinas soon.
I have an uninstalled PE TT kit. I wanted Sharif from Forged Internals to do my install and tuning...but he is moving to Atlanta & I am moving to PDX...
I want to do the whole deal.
>Forged Internals (rods, pistons, & studs)
>TT install
>UTEC piggyback
>boost contoller install
>fuel return system
>turbo timer, gauges....
I trust Sharif...he is the boosted 350z guru!
I have checked out TourqueFreak's website...
...it looks like they have some fairly good all-around experience, but they don't specialize in Z cars...
I doubt that they have dealt with a PE kit or installed and tuned a UTEC.
I don't see any information about building an engine...
I am quite nervous about boosting my baby up there...are there any "Z" shops in the PNW?
Should I have my care done down here?
Thanks for your help!

There used to be a guy in town that *specialized" in Z's, Brett. I forget the name of his shop, it was over near mall 205 as I recall.
I don't know anymore if he's there, or if anyone else in town can claim specialization outside of Scott (overZealous1).
