not trying to boast, but i had to go to torque freaks and build natve4ply's motor for them. they are a good group of guys out there, but not alot of specialization in the Z.
i will be starting joerocket's build here in the next couple weeks that is a full built motor with tt and all the bells and whistles. he is bringing the car from seattle. this is the direction i would like to head, and the first few projects will get discounted labor rates of $50 an hour to get this kicked off. most shops are in the $80-$100 range. i will have my equipment set up here very soon for all the thermal and ceramic coatings to be done in my shop, plus i think everyone knows i have the ability to fabricate, which can lead to saving some money on other parts.
i do the engine build myself (machining is done elsewhere by very reputable shop) so time and some money savings can be had there also. then with the ability for me to thermal and ceramic coat, you can get all this very expensive procedures done for, yes, $50 an hour.
oh ya, can do the easy stuff too, lol.
