Autocross PIR June 10th
At this time I'm strongly considering packing a picknic basket and being there at 6am or so, but I'm not solid on that yet. I suspect it will depend on my wife and my out of town guest.
Crap. I won't be able to make the early times. I also, just let my exchange student talk me into dropping him off in Seattle that day at his cousin's. I'll have to catch you on the next one.
I'm going - I'll be there at 11-11:30 for the afternoon session. It's 45 dollars, that gets you autocross entrance, pass for 2 for 2 days of racing (saturday and sunday).

Game on.
That course was pretty damn fun - it was huge, and required a lot of finesse. I tried to brute force it a few times and found my front tires not getting the grip that they wanted. I think i'm going to be investing in a new suspension setup for the Z specifically for AX'ing.
At the end of the day I got my time down to 53.2 - the best time of the day was a 47.xx by a Z06 - there were two of them there, and they were freaking amazing out there - they didn't even have to work at it. The best times outside of there were in the 49 to 50 area - so I'm not feeling bad about the 53.2. After my last run, I knew of at least one way to knock off another second - so I think I could have gotten down to 52.xx but that would have been about the cap running with stock tires / suspension.

Any time, I like taking pic. See you next time, hope fully your wife can make it.
Saw some of you Z guys over in the infield doing the autox and in the stands watching the T1/T2/T3 races. We took the T1 trophy, TCM took the T2 trophy. Pretty odd race, cars didn't get a green flag because Cindi and Scotty both jumped out a bit on the straight. One of the RX-8's over-corrected coming through the chicane and wound up sitting on a wall of tires. The officials closed the chicane, brought out the pace car, and threw the checkered flag after about 15 laps. We ran a comp coupe in the Rose Cup today and took 5th. Not bad considering the competition had about 300+ on us in the power department.
Naykid Racing Vipers:

Scotty's T1 Viper

350Z GT3 car

Scott Culbertson's T2 350Z

Speedware and ???'s T2 350Z's

Jay Culbertson's T2 350Z

RX-8 in the wall

Porsche GTP car ($,$$$,$$$.$$) running Rose Cup Race (with a better driver, this car would've walked over everything else at the track)
