Hey, I know one, but then u need to know how much u want to pay then tell him right away how much u want, otherwise he raise up the price alot. He did a good job on mine all the time, known him for 4 years. Just don't let him talk the price, u just tell him what you want to pay, that's it. if he can't do it then which mean no one can hehe. Let me know if u want him, i can go with you if im not work and he is located in Georgetown. Close to Seattle town down and internation district. Let me know, bro

A year old, sorry to hear that. he cannot jack the price up more than the insurance company pays. If you got rear ended you should be calling the other guys insurance company. Do not even call yours. This happen to me and the other insurance company paid for everything. My son was driving the car at the time. If you sustained any injuries they will even pay you a settlement for pain and suffering to keep from getting involved with lawyer fees. They paid a firend of mine a 1000 dollars to keep from going to court. No harm in trying

I called my dealer and they recommended a bodyshop and when i told them it was a 350z they recommended another shop. I stopped by the shop today and met with the owner whos owned it for 15 yrs. He told me they work on 70 cars at a time and they had bmw, lexus, jags there. He told me that it would be expensive to repair perhaps around $8k He told me the best thing to do would be to take the car apart and see what needs to be done before giving a estimate since he doesn't know what needs to be fixed. It will take about a month to get repaired

I really love the z and am thinking about getting a 07 or maybe the next generation z in a couple years. And keeping the 06 since i'm not sure how much i would get for my 06 even though i don't think there is damage to the frame.

Anyone have experience selling a car to a dealer after an accident?

It sounds like you did not havae full coverage on your or any insurance on your vehicle. My daughters BF totaled her car and he was not on the insurance and they still paid for the value of the car. If that is the case maybe you should take it to a dealer you probably wont get but 10gs for it.

Insurance is the keeper of peace and sanity.

I do have insurance and my insurance co is going to get my $500 deductable back from the insurance co responsible for the damage.

I don't think the frame is damaged just the rear bumper and the rear fenders and stuff inside the bumper. I think the repair cost would be lower If they didn't replace one of the fenders and just fixed it so it looked acceptable by using bondo or whatever it's called.

Do you think there is any way to get reimbursed from the insurance co repsonsible for the damage because the resale value will be lower?

Sounds odd, but one of the best bodyshops I've ever seen is the little one behind Robert's Olds/Jeep in Auburn. I've had two cars worked on there, and their prices are more than competitive, and have almost no rollover in employees -- same guys been there for years. They know their stuff.

If you have GAP insurance on your car it would cover the value of the car if it totaled in an accident. The insurance company willnot reimburse you for the lost value of the car. If this was possible then no one would bein business. The thing I can suggest is to see what the value is for resale and try to get the lost value from the other car owner. If he has home owner insurance or property you might have a better chance in a civil law suit.
