Default Northwest pure Z enjoyment

Yesterday my daughter and I took a 400+ mile trip in our Silverstone Touring. Results:

1. Finally went over the 1200 mi breakin period.
2. Stereo with remanufactured amp played flawlessly.
3. Top speed once was about 92mph @ 3700 rpm
4. Over 27 mpg Used premium 92 Octane Union 76 fuel
5. No problem seeing with tinted back window backing up at night. The tinted side windows did an admirable job keeping out the sun's rays.
6. Filled the gas tank and no problem with gas cap or "service engine soon" light
7. Put on Nissan nose mask with no problem and it performed perfectly with no pit marks or rock dings anywhere and this was after driving about 50 miles on highway with dirt, etc on it for the eventual ice that coming evening.
8. Even with the nose mask on the Z, many, many looks by people.
9. The two left side tires ended up with only 33 1/2 psi of air instead of the 35 psi they started with.
10. Never did the Z pull to the right
11. Checked when washing it today and no oil leak.
12. Never once did the driver's seat shift to the side.
13. Above all it was a thoroughly enjoyable driving experience. That is why I purchased this car. Pure Z enjoyment. I hope all of you have the exact same experience.

Question on #4

Right now I'm getting about 19 or less mpg combined city/freeway driving. The car only has 261 miles

Does the Z get better gas mileage once it's broken in?

The 27 mpg was strictly highway miles. My combined mileage in town and highway is between 22-23 mpg. I did not check the mileage when I had that few of miles on the Z, so not sure if it increased or not. I do not hot rod my Z and drive fairly conservative.

I'm getting about 19.5 combined city and highway. semi-aggressive driving (without going over 4000 rpm yet). I have heard from others that:

1) MPG gets better after break-in
2) Theres a big difference between city driving and highway drivng for this car

my3rdZ,

I have a SS Touring with about 650 miles on it so far. What percent tint did you use? Can you post a picture?

Thanks,

In Washington we can go no stronger than 35% I was told. That is what I got on the sides and back window. We cannot tint the front window. It looks fantastic. The only pic I have with the windows tinted is too large to be posted but it is on 350zmotoring.com in the gallery section. I have three pictures and the one with the tint is the one of the Z in the driveway with no snow showing. Hope that helps.
