I might be in need of tuning depending on when I get my new exhaust.

Gentlemen, I'd like to resurrect this thread from the ashes since Pilot_Z and myself will both be having our engine builds/TT installations begin shortly...

Let's get an updated head count for those who would be interested in having Sharif come out and tune their car...

Put my name down, after cosmetic/mechanical repairs to my car I will imagine a re-tune is to be safe. I also would like a bit more power out of my car seeing other's with the same setup are putting down 400+ whp and 400(+) wtq.

Feel free to PM for details as the come up.

I am thinking a rough time-line to fly Sharif out would be late march to April.
The length of his stay totally depends on interest in this thread. If several are interested, then we'll have him come out for a few days.

I don't have any details as of yet, but over the next 3 to 4 weeks, I will coordinate with Sharif and SVRT and get some pricing ideas down. After that, we'll look into airline travel & hotel for Sharif. It mostly depends on his preference whether this will be a weekend event or mid week.

So yeah DEFINITELY keep me signed. Where do you think we will do the tuning? I hope to keep it in WA, although I know there are a few OR members as well.

Peace

SkidMarq and I are in Portland.
Our cars are going to be built in PDX as well.
Mine will be untuned\undriveable, so I am limited to which dyno shops I can tow it to.

I hope it is not too inconvienant to drive to PDX.

Does PDX have a load based dyno, such as a Dyno Dynamics?

That's funny Sharif. I was going to ask you.
I went to Dynamic Dynos website a few weeks ago to find out, and they did not have any listed in this area...or any in the PNW for that manner. Also important to note, they did not have you listed either. Perhaps they only update their list once every year or two.

Perhaps Scott at SVRT would know. His screen-name here is: overZealous1

I think he has some kind of relationship with TorqueFreaks, but they use a DynoJet.

i know a guy in vancouver that has one. not sure if he rents it out though. he is really big into domestic stuff and i know he rarely will ever touch an import car (even though he is asian, lol) so i'm not sure if he might take it as a conflict of interest. he has a small shop, but is amazing with domestic stuff. i will dig him up and find out if he is willing.

It seems to me that we could generate quite a bit of publicity for any shop willing to "host" this event.

Whomever front-ends the contacting of a shop should let them know that the publicity they would receive through these forums would be huge!

Hopefully he would not percieve it as a conflict of interest, since he does not work on imports. I have no problem with Domestic guys renting my dyno.
Hopefully it will work out. As I can tune faster and more accurately with a Dyno Dynamics or a load based dyno. Plus, if we use a DD, the guy doesnt even have to stand around, so he might give you all a super-cheap rate.

Cool.

PS - is it possible to do a group buy of TurboXS UTECs from Sharif if he comes here? I'm running the Unichip right now but I need to sell my extra Unichip so I can get myself a nice UTEC. ^^
