Wind Storm Mania
In my (futile) attempt to defy Mother Nature this winter, I picked up an '06 Forntier on Saturday.

I'm gonna need it to rebuild the damage and take all the scrap to the transfer station anyways. I would've felt like too much of a mooch bumming off my friend's truck when he needs it now too.
No still no cable yet, but I'm thankful to have power. Generators are nearly impossible to find. I was at Home Depot in Tukwila yesterday when they had just recieved a shipment of generators, the place was pretty ugly. I helped a friend hook up a 700W inverter to a bank of car batteries so he could have some power, definately a cheaper option than a generator as long as you have batteries and a place to charge 'em once they're drained.

So currently I have achived my goal of acquiring the 3 primary Nismo colors; Red, Silver and Black. I guess the gold S14 will have to go....unless.... I get it repainted a color scheme of red, silver and black? Hmmm....
The nice thing about the Frontier is that it's the same longitudinally mounted VQ35DE stroked to 4.0L. Gotta see how many parts are swappable between engines or even if the engines themselves can be swapped. Hmmm...
power came back to half of Mercer Island (luckily the half i live on) last night, just as i was burning my last piece of wood. My fiance and dog were getting tired of not having power. I was having fun, like i was camping.
I even had an old honda generator that i could not get going, but trying to get it started kept me warm and smelling like gas for 3 days.

I probably see your lights on every night as I'm driving to my cold dark house
I should start
...at least it'd warm me up at night.
I'm debating between buying a generator or a gas fireplace for the future storms.
You'll love that truck and it will last forever. I still have a '93 Nissan pick-up that has been great with absolutely no problems and I am up over 140,000 miles now ! (knock on wood).

I'm still w/o cable. It's amazing how much more work you get done around the house when you don't have the distraction of TV and the internet.
