Naykid Racing looking for more crew
Hey Z guys,
We're looking for some new crew members for our 2007 World Challenge season. We have shops in Puyallup, WA and Cornelius, OR and are looking for 3 new faces to help out around the shop this season. Our drivers, Cindi and Scotty, have many years amateur club race experience and will be debuting in Pro Racing for the first time this year. We've raced for Dodge Motorsport the past two seasons in SCCA Touring 1 (Viper Verts in '05, Coupes in '06, Competition Coupes this year). Its a ton of fun to be part of a real race team and you will gain an incredible amount of hands-on race prep knowledge and experience that you can apply to your own track days. This is not a paid position, its more of a kick-*** hobby with kick-*** benefits you wouldn't get any other way. You don't have to have any mechanics certifications or professional automotive experience, but it is expected that you have a good grip on how the various parts of a car work and not be afraid to get dirty doing some hard wrenching.
The bottom line is this: We're looking for racers, wrenchers and learners. If you're interested, send me a PM, tell me a bit about yourself. Be honest. If you don't know much but your personality is a fit, we can teach you what you need to know. Cindi is interested in interviewing folks for our winter build season right away so send a PM if you're serious about possibly joining. I'd be more than glad to answer any questions you have as well.

Sorry for the delayed responses folks, been moving my fiance into our new place in Colorado and the weather has been a bit crazy.
Big question I'm getting from lots of folks is time commitment. We usually expect crew to show up two nights a week, M-F. On build weeks, maybe more depending on how much needs to get done. I scheduled Tues/Thurs to be at the shop 5-10pm and was around noon-whenever on the weekends during build season as well. Travel can be worked out with Cindi and Scotty, I can't garuantee you'd get to travel with the crew until you had a firm understanding of the cars. We were lucky enough to have multiple races in the Northwest last year so I had lots of track exposure without having to travel very far.
Thanks for everyone's interest so far!
