Well in a turn of events I am no longer moving to Redmond.

Basically what happened is I went to my home town of Tri-Cities and interviewed for a nuke job out there. It seemed like a great place to work and the interview went well.

Basically what it came down to is that they told me they couldnt get me an offer before my deadline for my other job offer so I was like oh well.

Well 2 hours later on my drive home I get a call from the engineering manager himself and he really wants me to work there. He told me to call him back after I thought about it and this morning I accepted his offer.

My reasoning behind this is that I have school loans, a car payment, seattle is insanely expensive and besides the big city atmosphere I really dont care for it. I basically wouldnt be able to save any money or pay my car and school loans as fast as I could at home in Tri-Cities.

So after being on my own for the past 5 years I am moving back home for a while with me ma. Our house is split level so I am basically going to take over the bottom half and converting it to an apartment. Because well I am 24 and I need my own place. Not really sure how long I would stay there but total rent will be 350 a month all inclusive, thats peanuts.

Not to mention the house has a 3 car wide 4 car deep shop on the side that is not being used muahaha!

The engineers employed there are getting older, average age is 49, and so this is also an oppurtunity to get promotions fast therefore making lots of money fast since they have 40 engineers 60+. I think its a good move for me.

Not to mention it pays more than the Redmond gig and cost of living in tri cities is about half that of seattle.

Good luck with it, Tri-cities isnt a bad place!

That is a good choice btw, good thinking behind it. Seattle is incredibly expensive to live in, especially are your/our ages.

The roads around Tri-cities are better for "spirited driving" anyways. Congrats and good luck w/ your new job.

Eh they are ok, lots of ricers in Tri-Cities but with this new job there will be a boosted 350z running amuck, I mean hey I had the first sr20 240 there I might as well be the first to have a boosted 350 there, atleast I hope I would be the first.
