I was at Bel-square last night taking some quick snap shots of my car and I saw this guy in a completely stock 03-05 Z (yes so stock it has the 17" 03 base wheels) and he was reving every second for 5 minutes driving nuts around the parking lot then meeting up with a subbie and a older 3 series.

They were jsut parked there revving 5 thousand times for about 15 minutes then when they saw me they stopped. I waved (instinctively since it's a Z) and when I got close it's just some younger kid and he didn't even wave back, just gave me this nasty look and started revving again. How dumbd is this?!

You're in a parking lot, you drive like a nut case, and then revs to hell for 15 minutes (eyah they did it the whole time I was there taking pics on the other side of the mall and I can STILL hear them) Mind you I'm 20 years old and they look roughly 18-22ish but damn, don't be a dumbass!

 

if you were driving an RSX you probably would have scared some sense into them .

I have never seen anyone younger than me (20) drive a Z around here. All old people, every time I see one, we give each other a nod.

 

Lucky they weren't driving RSX's. Otherwise the energy field generated by those cars would've stripped you atom by atom.

 

I think they are driving a Z with RSX engine. RSX engine is faster.

When I was 18 with my Z, i didnt do that. Im almost SURE someone bought the Z for them, because when I bought my Z, i was scared of doing ANYTHING because it was too expensive to *** with haha. Im 1 year older, 1 year wiser, and I still don't do that. Only during autoX

 

Probably some kid from Bellevue and mommy and daddy bought it for him.

I was near by B-square for my niece's b-day and saw two Zs. One was black but didn't look like it was stock... He was speedin west on Bel-Red road... maybe it was someone belong to this site...

Yeah I am sorry but I have to believe that as well. Everyone in Bellevue is so damn rich I wouldn't be surprised if he was just some spoiled kid who doesn't appreciate anyone else's car if it has less value than his.

 

Ehhh i did that stuff too honestly... last year (when i was 19) and i had my turbo'd Z i would throw off the BOV at nicer cars that look like enthusiasts. I was at a stoplight next to a 360 modena, nothing amazing (but still very nice) and did a good sized burnout. he looked at me like i was a stupid immature kid (hmmm that coulda possibly been true) light turns green... outa the hole he goes.... lol then at the next light he burned some rubber (apx $1,000 worth off his OEM rims) haha so i gave him a thumbs up and turned off to the next street. Probably one of the cooler ferrari owners that ive come across randomly.

^^ thats a hilarious story...there are a lot of young kids who drive the Z and are pretty retarded... btw im young too (19...but feel like a 30yr old with all my back problems!), but actually am responsible. i seriously baby my z (and never speed...). when i had my lexus, i got a ticket for goin 54 in a 35...but i only had my licsense for about a year and the speedometer was completly burnt out...still got busted tho (ironically, my dad around the same time got a ticket for 89 in a 35 and he somehow repped himself so well in court, he didnt hav to pay...wtf).

anyways...i hate a lot of the high schoolers...they r horrible drivers (and try to show off too much). need more people like us to giv us youngns a good name!

People who do stupid stuff like that do it because they could care less about their car, because mommy and daddy will always be there to bail them out or they just have a destructive nature.

I have yet to be waved at by 350z owners while driving, but back in the day with my 240sx I met some of the nicest people, and randoms would always wave at you or pull you over and bs about the cars, you just dont get that with the Z.

 

I feel ya. I've come across some people whose cars were cooler than they were. It's nothing to do with age at all.
