Ok, I finally decided to clean my filter air intake so I went and start openin some screws.. so after 5 mins the security complex came by and asked me what I was doing and I told him I need to reach the air filter and pull it out so I can clean it... and guess what he said "Sir you can't do any car work in the complex" I was so mad I asked him why and he said it's the policy... I told him it only gonna take me 30 mins and he said sorry but you have to put the screws back and can't work on the car... FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU*K what a gay place... So is there anyone close to lynnwood or in lynnwood would help me out so I can replace it in there place or if they have a garage that would be much better ...

You should have told him to pay for someone else to do it then. Or to pay for your engine problems in the future since you cant legally maintain your automobile at your place of residence. I dont see why places do that. I can see if you were swaping a motor, but a filter cleaning? Must suck to drive to any empty lot with no light and try to work on your car.

 

well when I used to live in Spokane my place was nice you can do whatever you want ...

 

I work for an apartment complex. It sucks but yeah we can't allow people to work on their car due to liability reasons. I understand you're changing a filter but if they let you do it then when someone do like an engine swap you can't stop them because they'll say you're discriminating them by letting other people work on their cars but not them.

 

yeah I know but it sucks especially if you don't have any other place to go

 

If you can't find anything else, just get a buddy to meet up with you and go work on it in a parking lot in a shopping center. Act like your car died if someone gives you a hard time.

 

Last time I check the parking lot at your local Autozone was full of DIY'ers.

I uninstalled my popcharger at a Brown Bear carwash last weekend. There were employees/customers everywhere, nobody cared.

 

I'm in Bothell, Canyon Park right near 405 and 527/Bothell-Everett Highway. You're welcome to use my driveway or garage. I telecommute full time so I'm generally home all day.
