I drive a Cheezo Metro 480 miles a week commuting, 46-48mpg @ 75-80mph,
around town they get 40+mpg. new motor cost $325, tranny $125, last timing belt was under $10 for belt and less than 45min. to install.

LOL I'm more addicted than you bro.

I try to blow by every thing I go past. Living or non-living.

still looking and craigslist isnt helping much. Every car ive looked at for cheap always end up. "BODY IS WONDERFUL. EVERYTHING WORKS. Cept the engine needs this, a new transmission recommended, can't shift past first gear, deer on hood, etc." its gonna be a long search.

I've got a 2005 Kawasaki Ninja 500R with about 9500 miles on it, if you want to buy it. It's been a great bike to learn on. In terms of maintenance, it's been very manageable. Oil changes every 1000 miles, tighten the chain once a week (5 minute job with a pair of wrenches), etc. I need to sync the carbs but I haven't gotten around to digging the manometer out of my parents' garage. Coming up on 10K miles, which means it's time for a new chain/sprocket set too.

Great bike though, lots of fun. Wheelies in first easily, gets 200 miles to the tank... $15-16 a week in gas is pretty sweet!

Wow...that's pretty good mpg! With a mix of hwy/city, I only get about 120 miles/tank.

I average 22mpg on my new Z, the beater doesn't do much better. I get 24 on it, so for me its not an issue about gas milage.

I agree, I wouldn't use a bike as a daily driver, you increase your odds of being dead dealing with rush-hour morons. Save the bike for the Sunday cruises.

Definitely doing a carb sync and new chain & sprockets before I sell it. It's been religiously maintained and never put down, paint's mint, etc. The lower fairing has some scrapes from the odd speed bump, so when I put it on the market I'll try to get somewhere around $4k for it. It's great for commuting though. I-5 express lanes + carpool exits = awesome, plus half the garages downtown have special rates for bikes. I only pay $5 a day!

I have a 2005 Suzuki Katana 600 w/ less then 1400mi. Never been laid down, but does have a few scrapes from tipping over in the driveway, lol.

I don't ever ride it, as you can tell by the miles. Has been a great bike to learn on though, not over powered yet not under powered.

Looking for $4500.00
