I'd say in a metro area thats a bit fast to be driving like that. At those speeds any wrong move = death to all around you.

Im ready to get flamed by many people. But i cant sit here and honestly say ive never exceeded 180mph on a public highway at night....

I feel pretty confident that there are MANY board members on here that have passed the 140 marker on a public highway at some point....

Although it seems stupid when you see somebody get caught... When your getting an offtrack race started and its a dead heat im one of those irresponsible drivers that did not let off...

yayyyyy flame away at me now!!!
(dont get me wrong everytime ive done it was stupid) but id be willing to be that people who say how dumb they are have all done it at some point.

**Cheers**

EDIT: and how the F*CK did he get the accord up to 140... helllll no nto w/o like 100 miles of flat DOWNHILL runway... haha

maybe an RSX... but not an accord

soccerprep brings up a good point, but only if your the only car on the highway and you and your car is the only thing you will destroy. on that note, there is a section from stafford road to I-5 on I205 that is just woods and good for the highspeed pass, lol. 175mph so far for me in a convert. vette. hit the speed limiter in the Z at 160mph many times though.

In the Republic of Kalifornia (which, as you can see, doesn't exist anywhere) I hit 165.

+1. I've had a chance to drive one for the last couple weeks and it's definitely no slouch, it would be able to achieve that speed.

A v6 accord isnt really slow, just cuz its a honda doesnt mean much... i didnt watch the vid cuz im listenin to music but my 04 was limited at 135. Its dumb i guess what they did but as Soccer said, ive gone pretty fast on interstates at like 2 or 3am when theres no one on either side at all, ive yet to take the Z past 120 tho heh... barely broken in tho now... =) Think my biggest fear is being caught doin that kind of speed.

I thought all the V6 accords were autos? Having an auto (usually CVT in the honda world) tranny makes it take about 11 mins to get over 115 MPH. The media (and most idiot ****ing police) blow things with cars way outtah proportion. For intance, that kevin guy that just died driving without his seatbelt (member), they accused him of streetracing for little to no reason. Just seems ike BS to me, both about the media, and a 140+MPH honda
