I will see y'all there... 1PM at Sy Kart. Haven't been there for years. I used to go there once a week untill I got in the 11HP. I got to ride it once. Never got chance to drive it the second time because of problems with it or something.

It was difinitly faster than a 9HP. I couldn't punch it outa turn w/o fishtailin'. Got used to it after a couple of laps and dusted all my friends in 9s....

I wonder if the course layout is still the same... Havn't been there in about 5 years I think....

the drive back was pretty darn fun LOL Milou is a panzy for not answering his phone... I dont think ill ever slam on my brakes again doing 130-140 on the freeway. Back end broke loose, and almost spun me out. Car felt kinda funny after that too...maybe tires got too hot, or maybe i just got a lot of brake fade... Pretty fun though

Glad to hear you had a good time! Looks like you guys only spent ~2 hours hanging out there?

Sorry I couldn't make it, had other plans with some people around noon.

Anyway, if you guys are still planning on either hanging out for the night or seeing Transformers then I'll definitely join in.

I was talking to an S2k buddy earlier in the day and he said that the guys for the local S2k forum get together at SyKart once a month (on a set day). Would there be enough of an interest in the VQ community to do that?

Depending upon the day, I'd be up for that -- and my son too.

I'd be done for regular karting meets...but I think we should practice before showing up to the S2K meets - they'd walk all over us if they've been doing karting for awhile.

Speak for yourself! I usually am in the top 20-30 when I go karting, and I usually spot most of you about 100 lbs!

(My son isn't a slouch either, even in the 5HP karts he has to drive, you have to plan your pass -- but he won't deliberately hold you up either.)

Had a good time. Glad a few of us were able to make it out.

Me and my buddies started going regularly last year. Then they started inviting the Hachi forum, and it became a regular weekly thing. We ran into the S2K guys there a couple times and honestly, they weren't that fast. Good enough, but about the same as some of the guys that came out today.

That'd be pretty cool to have the VQ guys going up against the S2K guys or the Hatchi guys in a freindly competition. But before we even get to that point, we should give karting a couple more trys as a group.

Right now, I think the Hatchi guys would walk all over us and I'm sure the S2K guys have good drivers amoung them that would come out to represent if some competition presented itself.

next time we should try racing for position, and not just times...it's much better being side by side going into turns!

I dunno.... the driving would turn really dirty fast if it was for position. I'm down to give it a try but I'm sure it'll turn into bumpercars from the first lap on.

Were you driving the silverstone? Man oh man, I saw your nose dip hard out of the corner of my eye and wondered if you buried it into that truck. Laughed pretty hard at the ****-eating grin on your face once you caught back up!

I had a pretty good time at the track! Wouldn't mind doing a monthly meet type thing, just gotta remember to stay away from #15!

yeah, I was driving the silverstone one. Even today, now my car feels really funny...I can't tell if it is suspension, or steering. Seems like there is body roll now (even on light corners). And I randomly hear pops coming from up near my front right.
