Default Wheel painting help needed

I recently gave myself some bad curb rash on the lip one of my wheels and am having it ground out. I need to repaint the red lip ( or whats left of it). Does any body have any painting skills, because i don't. I have the matched paint already and I get the rim back tommorow. I can bring beer or cook food or both for compensation.

How about stripping/re-clearcoating?

I made the fatal mistake of using Castrol Super Clean once, and left it on the wheel a bit too long, thus burning the clearcoat.

Anyone have any experience in this process?

I remember seeing something you posted about that. IIRC you aren't using a powdercoating process...it's some sort of painting process? Can you explain further?

Correct it will be painted on. I do NOT have PC materials, but he said paint... not PC. PC is the process of charging the flakes + - and the melting it togeather. MUCH stronger and more durable. But expensive. If you want to spend very little money and have it look the same... painting is the process. I couldn't justify spending 1200$ (the asking base price) to have my rims PCed. when i spent like 250 to paint them with factory paint.

I've painted rims before, pretty easy to do. Only problem I ever ran into were rock chips. How do you avoid them?

I knew all that, but I'm wondering if you can explain more about the paint process/materials that you use.
