Oh cr@p! This IS the Champs karting place in Redmond. Looks like Champs sold it to K1. I don't know how much they've improved it, but the old Champs in Redmond had a lot to be desired. It was a thumbnail size track, slow and quirky karts, and was run pretty loosely.

Well.... whad'ya think? I'd much rather go to SyKart than Champs in Redmond (under new management). I'll even do the drive all the way up to Traxx or the Champs in Mill Creek. I'll still show up if everyone else who said they'd go will be there. What say you?

 

K1 is definitely not Champs....much different............it is in the same location though.........

 

So did you guys finalize what time you're starting? Looks like flyinglumpia and I can't make it unless it's a tad later than the original suggestion. Oh, and who's all going for sure at this point?

 

I'm ok with 5:30, since I haven't been to any carting establishment in this area since I moved here I want to try it out. I think I'm gonna roll in when I get off work and if it kicks *** I can call a few of you and give it the thumbs up!!

I'll be there between 5-5:30 estimate. Traffic... work etc...

nice meeting you guys! I thought K1 was okay - their karts seemed just as fast as skykart, but their track was a lot tighter and harder to pass...plus their boundaries for the track weren't mounted in place, so if you hit certain portions of it, the track layout would change. I've got 2 more runs there, so let me know if you guys are going back.

Yeah tight track for sure, I may go back next rainy day. They need to make that track much bigger!
