thanks, the car is dumped enough that blue lip will tuck under the fender, lol. i was hesitant to do it at first, but glad i did. the blue is cleared in gloss, and put dulling agent into some gloss black acylic urethane to get the satin finish on the rest of the wheel. they will be sitting in my bathroom with a heater turned on full and curing tonight so i can put the tires on, lol.

That's pretty wild looking.
You have got to get someone in there with a camera so we can get a better look. The wheels look sick also!

hey bruce. even my good cam can't pic the color up. i talked with my dad (used to be a pro-photographer for 20 years) about why a camera can't pic it up. it has something to do with the pearls in the paint and the fact our eyes can pic up the light refracting off the paint, cameras are not as sensitive to picking it up. supposedly the color is still there, it just needs to be adjusted in a better paint program than i have, lol.

after 2 nights of non-stop painting flames, here is the uncleared results. there is 3 different colors of flames. silver pearl (by itself), candy cobalt blue mixed in with silver pearl, then the ppg harlequin blue-red. flames were created using magnetic vinyl sheets as the templates and then layed on the car individually. yes, each flame is individual, and no, i have no idea how many there are, lol. the car is very symetrical though. never heard of anyone doing this method before, but it worked out awesome and sped up painting time by a huge margin!!
it will all be cleared in the next couple days and cut and buffed by the weekend. clutch comes on tuesday, and then the motor will finally be back in. whether ya like flames or not, this thing looks wicked!! pics do not do the car justice at all!!

sorry for the bad pics. it looks like i am shaking like a dog sh!tting a peach seed in that one, lol. alot of the flames are blending in on that pic as i matched the main car color to the main color in the harlequin so at the right angles, they completely disappear!! same with the pearls.
