Default almost done?

had to show pics of what a Z looks like stripped! looks like a pos really, haha. hard to believe in it's present condition it is nearing completion. all removable parts are painted and getting ready for jambs and rear fenders and roof. this has been the hardest car i have done to do a complete color change on!! the final product will be disturbingly sick though. included one pic of the semi-assembled front end though to show the color. wheels will be going a combination of semi and gloss black and should finish this weekend. multi layer harlequin and candy and pearl flames will be the finishing touches!! looks like it will be done just in time for winter!!

Scott-

Were your headlights done by LightWerkz?

I was thinking of doing the same thing.

What are you looking to have done? I can paint them for a reasonable fee next time I'm back in beaverton, and I could have them done in a day.

I like the way Scott did his.

I'd either like them like his 3rd picture in the first post of this thread or flat black. In either case, I'd like the orange reflector removed.

My only hesitation is how the lights would seal up after the job...is there moisture condensation?

No condensation issues in the past 4-5 setups I've done. I did peter's(first350) and I think they are still holding up well. When you say remove the orange reflector, do you mean replace it with a clear one or just paint it black to match?
PM me also, don't want to clog up this thread

Interesting...maybe I missed it, but what prompted the repaint? Did you get in an accident?

no accident. i rebuild the motor and did a couple more things to it. i was looking over the body and saw i had a couple door dings. figured it was a good time to repaint and instantly grabbed some 220 grit and drug it down the side of the car thus forcing me to do it as you can tell, there is a very good reason my name on the boards is "overZealous1" once i get an idea, i go full throttle. plus having a shop and knowing how to paint is a big plus. this paint job would be BIG bucks if i was paying someone! i am into it about $700 right now and that includes $260 for just 6oz. of the harlequin i will be putting on amuse side skirts too. it surely will be entering the big convention and expo shows this year.

i just used black silicone very carefully around the outside when done. you can hardly tell they were even pulled apart.
