The story the local news prints sounds fake. They two guys are driving, see a fight, and get out? Then the shooter points the gun at the kid that got out of the car? Why would he do this? Sounds fake to me.

Whoa, talk about a life changing experience for everyone involved. They need to get that "suspect" out of jail asap since multiple whitnesses have come forth claiming self defense.

? the other story presented is even less likely. dude is getting beat up by two guys, walks away (?) across the street, then goes back over where he resumes the beating and then is able to pull out a gun and shoot someone..

yeah, makes alot of sense.

the other way, guy gets out because a friend could be getting beat up, dude sees him comes over to intimidate him and points a gun at him to leave, dude pops him and shooter, shoots.

both are pretty lame.

he got beat, walked across street, yelling continued, people were trying to comfort the guy who got his *** beat, made him more angry, started to walk back over across the street (might have just been heading inside, or trying to talk, or anything). People jumped him again when he was almost all the way across the street. He took it again for a bit, then fired. Sounds pretty normal to me. also, there was a lot of alcohol consumed at that party, but I can't say for sure who was all drinking since I myself was not there, and everyone was wearing costumes, so my friend couldn't tell as well. Ive seen people shot for a lot less...ive seen a guy walk up to a girl in louisville, ask for her number, got turned down, went to his car, pulled a gun, and shot her in the head. That was about 10 feet in front of me and i heard the whole thing...kinda stupid if you ask me, but with alcohol in your system, **** happens.

This is really messed up. A friend of mine got jumped at a party about a month ago. Cops showed up broke everything up, then left and he WENT BACK IN THE HOUSE. Stupid. He got sucker punched and doesn't remember anything till he woke up. Alc causes alot of bad decisions.

from a legal standpoint...self-defense can't be his defense because no1 else had a gun. i forgot the wording for it but if your being beat up with no weapons then u can't pull out a weapon to defend yourself. its a stupid law.

guess alchohol could make that happen... but it makes absolutely NO sense for a guy (1 guy) to get away from a beating, to go back for more. no sense. he should have gotten away, gotten friends, whatever, but his choice was not self defense. he put himself back into that situation. it's murder.

As I understand he was hired to do security for the party and was breaking it up late in the evening. I know people who were at the party, but heard this secondhand.

A couple of my personal friends got randomly shot in the U district at a friend's party I was at last year. Not fatal, but these big, open invite parties can be bad news.

Alright guys I think its about time for me to chime in here... seeing how it was MY house...

FACT: Shooter was jumped and ****ed up
FACT: Shooter had his permit and the gun WAS on him already and didn't go anywhere to get it...

Gray area... the kid who was shot a friend of a friend... there are conflicting stories about everything... I was within a few feet from the shot and jelping break up the fight on the street.

FACT.... this party was ****ing siiiiiiiiiiiick up until that point of the night... TONS of people and TONS of hott girls...

At this point in time there are no charges being pressed against me. Honestly i do not think that it is appropriate for me to get screwed over in any of this because there were people who i DID NOT welcome into my house that brought alcohol... so in court me providing would NOT hold up simply because i did not invite certain people into the house who brough alcohol (i mean its not like i dind't want them there... but i can plead ummm "ignorance") aka being unaware or everything.

I am going to be hosting a live fundraiser to pay for a big memorial and service for all of chris's friends to come visit.

good luck with that. there is a lot of responsibility with the owner of a property when it comes to what goes on on his land.

Understood. its a very gray area, which is why i would get a good lawyer for it. But that is all besides the point, right now everything is 10x more focused on the shooting. Even the detectives said that thier not even looking at prosecuting me.

Yeah im on these forums every once and a while. I dont post on the vette forums as much anymore... and ive only posted on the bimmer forums a few times. Im selling my Tastefully modded 530i bimmer because i bought and Sti for this winter its sort of a downgrade but i got an awesome price on it so i could NOT turn it down

i decided that should be something i will look forward to in the future... maybe in 5 years or so. Right now it would be stretching my budget too much. it wouldn't cripple me or anything. But UW is expensive and i have to pay for it all so im going to hold off on the exotic for a little while. Plus... id drive it too often and depreciate the **** out of it...
