Default anyone have experience with bride gias?

I still have yet to see someone local with this seat set up. Was curious as to anyone with experience with this seat. I'm thinking about just tearing out the interior and getting it into what I want after a few lil mods go on since I can't go widebody until my garage gets built

if your not a 28" waist you wont fit comfertably.

i sold mine mainly cause they are not saftey rated to be ran in any type of sanctioned events in the USA. and they are uncomfertable for my 36" ***.

most events are not going to check, unless you are running faster 1/4 mile times than 11.4

you should be fine.

yea, same as why they get to use a Cusco roll cage, and we dont....

i think it is because they are not FIA rated, or there is no safety sticker on them at all. i am sure you would be fine, unless you get someone that is a stickler for the rules, as is a good freind of mine, and he owns a saftey products company. he really shed light on how much damage you can do, if your safety stuff is not up to Par...

aftermarket seats kill alot of people, mainly the cheaper versions. but you never know.

So does your friend think that the Gias and Cusco cage are not safe?

This GIAS are a safe seat, however as Brew pointed out definately not sanctioned by FIA. Its interesting though, at many race events in our industry where cars have to pass through tech and certs are check on seats, helmets, and belts, I have never seen a car with Bride seats not be able to participate. Why just last weekend at Super Street Super Lap Battle, the fastest car at the event (HKS EVO) featured Japanese JGTC driver *** Taneguchi in a Bride Bucket Seat.

I second what Brew said however about the 28 inch waist thing, the seats definately don't fit my american ****.

Hmm well at least they tend to allow the seats, what about the cusco cages?
Do they let those slide too or are there more issues with them?
Always see them in cars in Japanese motorsports*shrugs*

Im a 32inch waist so I might be able to squeeze into the Gias;p
