Woot! I rarely get free stuff out of the blue but an hour ago one of the guy at work gave me a brand new Halo 3 game for free So I'm debating whether I should buy an xbox 360 (la la la Christmas is almost here ) Any feedback? It seems like used ones are going for $300 on craigslist, don't know if I should get one.

 

I have an Xbox 360 and the only game I play is Halo 3. You can go to Game Stop and get a refurbished one for $280. Comes with a one year warrenty also. It's some piece of mind that your not buying a early production unit that will break down on you.

 

I played Forza 2 and NBA 2K the other day. Pretty sweet. I think in this case, a refurb might be the way to go (vs. a random used one).

Of the 3 new systems, I think I'd want to get the Wii and play that new Mario Kart!

 

hmm...sounds good but Steve do you know if I need anything else to play other than the console and controllers? Someone mentioned something about needing xbox live? I don't know much about xbox 360 - I only played the original halo and that was years ago

 

You'll want/need Xbox Live to get online and play with 10yr olds that will kick your ass and then talk shit to you...it's hilarious.

 

XBOX live is only if you want to play online with others which is cool. I love my 360 wouldn't trade it for a PS3 if I had the chance. I just bought Acecombat 6 and Call of Duty 4 but I still havent had a chance to play them

GET ONE! I have never played Halo until my girlfriend got me in to it lol. I would play for hours with her, mucho fun.

The live account is like $70 for a year, then $50 every year to renew. I got a 360 right when Halo 3 came out a couple months ago and just transfered my xbox live account to a xbox 360 live account. For the almost 3 years of Live I have paid $170. That has provided me with countless hours of entertainment. Well worth it.

 

Damn, I have tried to get severel girlsfriends to play halo with me to no avail. One did like watching and taking **** to all the guys as if she was the one playing

 

come play a Halo3 tourney at my house we have 4 plasmas linked up to it...

I have the 360 & just bought Call of Duty 4... that game is fricken awesome! (haven't had a chance to play it online yet, though)
