$500 4X4 off Craigslist. 91 Bronco with 128K, minor issues that the guy thought were major. $200 thrown at it, and it runs and drives perfectly, and is nearly rust free with no dings. I wanted a winter beater, but this has turned into a daily driver.
Worth a look, you might get lucky.

Oh, btw he said the Quattro 5MT's had a 50/50 distribution, but AT's were 80/20. True or False?

Yeah, tires will make a big difference....if you don't need ground clearance, Audi's are nice.

No idea about the 50/50 vs 80/20....I know my car is 50/50 but it's a 6spd. The B7's are 40/60 f/r...never heard anything about the Auto's being any different.

I was actually looking into buying a 40/60 diff from Stasis..supposed to be better for AutoX and trac racing, etc...but I decided not to bother since I'm really not that hardcore.

Can't believe the snow is here again. Luckily none of the white stuff here In Abq. yet so we usually drive the Z all year long.

Anybody know where to get a ski rack for the Z ???

Rockin the Darango now, need to get into Les Schwab for chains. They have a good program where you can get a set and if you dont use them you can bring them back for a refund. I have done this for a few years now since I drive the pass a few times a month or more. Never needed to use them but its a good thing to have just in case.

I just drove a V8 Grand Cherokee last night (work at a hotel and the valet's got busy so i helped out) I was reminded how much I liked those. The Cherokee is by far my favorite driving SUV, plenty of power and I love the short wheelbase/manuverability. I had just gotten out of some big *** F-150 Extendo-O-cab that needed to make numerous 3 point turns just to get to the bottom floor of our garage. After that I was loving the Cherokee.

Rain now, but had 9" of snow dumped on us near Hood Canal in about 12 hours. The rain has melted it down to 5".

Glad it didn't end up being like the snowstorms last year. Here's a pic from last Winter, when I got stranded at a buddy's house overnight after getting back from Crystal.

Tsk, tsk, tsk...

Your Civic now sits in the garage and the Z is forced to sleep outside. That's just wrong.
