I say we give racing for position a try next time out. My guess is that some of us are gonna spend more time stuck in a wall waiting for a course worker to push them out than racing. But we'll find out if it's something that we wanna do again or not.

We shouldn't do reverse grid position in the 2nd race. The guys in the front of the pack will get pwned if there are faster guys behind them. Better to have the guys that run the course faster have to deal w/ getting rear ended so that the guys further back can take advantage of it if it happens. Plus this doesn't give anyone any incentive to run faster for the 1st heat if they will end up further back in a race for position.

Karting tonight around 8pm at sykart in tukwilla.

my co-worker who owns a G35 is coming out...anyone else interested? (maybe this will count towards the season points...if I'm the only 1 there, then I guess i take 1st place - FTW!)

Gentlemen,

Looks like the local Scion group is planning some kind of karting competition:

http://scion.meetup.com/30/calendar/6980040/

- - -
When
Saturday, January 12, 2008 at 2:00 PM

Where
K1 Speed Indoor Track
2207 NE Bel-Red Road
Redmond , WA 98052
(425) 455-9999

Expected Attendees
128 people — 125 Yes, 3 Maybe
There's still room for 12 more.

Organized by
CoreyAnn
Details
Event: Indoor Go-Karting

Cost: None, however if you want to play air hockey or video games that requires
tokens

When: Saturday Jan 12th

Time: 2pm-4pm

Where: K1 Speed Indoor Track
2207 NE Bel-Red Rd,
Redmond, WA 98052

Race Style: From my understanding its open racing as many times as you want until the last 15minutes then who ever has the top race times all compete for a championship race for overall placing.

We have the location reserved for two hours by ourselves. K1 Speed tells me we should be fine up to 140 people before it feels crowded.

Also please pass this along to other forums you guys are involved with whether it be Scion, Toyota or other makes.

yeah, it's the electric karts. IMO the electric karts are actually really nice - they spool up quickly - the one downside is that K1's track is fairly small...they use big plastic dividers to form their track, which when hit, can be moved - over the course of a race, the course can actually change

humm...next time I'm down in the area, we should meet up - from the sound of it, you'd be way faster than me, but that's all for the better! (New Years resolution: less mods to the Z and more to the nut driving it!)
