I loose traction shifting hard to 3rd in this cold weather and I'm NA...it'd be scary to think how the car would feel w/ FI in this weather

Only person I raced was my buddies similar modified rx; large single turbo, full 13b-rew swap, monster fmic/injectors, steve kan tuned fb rx-7.

The rest of the time I was doing 60-100 rolls and cruising.

Its all good tho, I kept the profec b in 'lo' boost setting for the large part of the day anyway.
welcome to the boards...i was running when you launched against you friend in i believe a red rx7. Caught up to you guys before backing off, after starting from a few lengths behind. Thought I would throw you in the mix

FC looks like an S13 hatch. FB is the older, smaller, pointy looking one. Usually leaves nice white or blue puffs of smoke in its wake.

I wouldn't even post something like that as a kill, to each his own. Me pulling on Dave's brown turbo fb would be considered a kill. We should line them up one of these days from a 60-70 roll when I don't have a passenger ridin dirty.

What dyno numbers do you have for your car ? We talked in olyimpia for a min and iirc you said you were tuned at 8psi ? Correct me if I'm wrong.

If you interested this saturday I'm attending a dyno day in kirkland, you should try to make it since your local too. I'm really really interested to see you numbers. When my engine was tuned by steve kan, I was told that the specific dyno read conservative by 15% when compared to a dynojet. If this is true I should be around 330whp with vary close ft.tq figures on hi boost.

Only $75 for up to five pulls I believe, which is around half price.
Hope to see you there.
Later, Aaron

Haha, yeah some tend to smoke, mine tends shoots blue flames about ten feet out the muffler (depending on extreme I go with my pre mix) Really interesting when people drive along side me really worried and tell me the car is on fire, my clam reaction usually scares them.

This is how I would explain the different generation rx-7

FB looks similar but sexier then a 280z
FC looks similar but sexier then a 944
FD looks similar but sexier then a Viper/Supra

I work, so I can't make the carb connection dyno...wish i could..would love to see what im putting down. As far as tuning, im tuned to 11psi, although I only run at 9-10 psi depending on the type of driving I am doing at the time. I know the FD...It's just the other 2 that throw me off all the time.

BOOST CUT FTW!!! I'm tuned for lower altitude and warmer weather, when in High Boost (9psi map, target boost 8si on my EVC) I'm hitting consistent 9's and a couple nights ago I hit my boost cut at 10.2psi . . . haha. . . I'm glad I have the boost cut, I don't wanna go higher than that.

Drew drove my car once tried to scare me saying he turned it to 16psi . . LOL I thought it was funny that's not possible on my car at the moment . . .

Oh and if any RX-7s wanna run . . . I'm game.

300ZX > FC
350Z > FD

At 11psi you should be pushing around 450whp. Be careful with that power. Although I know you plan on building so if you don't give a crap you blew ur motor . . . drive it like you stole it.
