Wow, yeah, glad I didn't go as well.

It sucks that all of that happened, but it also does sound like they don't really have a case, so everybody should be all set.

Just obey the law next time.

so zejoker and "z brotha" got tickets...ok, i'll take the blame for it, my fault right i mean the meet was my descison. the safety and respect thing...it happened...people feel safer at different speeds and during the improv convoy brief no one had a problem with any of it nor did any one voice any concern...so my fault...it will be fixed. i'm not dogg'n anyone i'm just gonna step up and take a heat round for every wrong doing of the evening. i feel very positive about everything i'm reading here and have definatly learned alot. Any soldier can tell you that if something happens u got suck it up and drive on...if your takeing fire move out and keep your head down...during the mission we shoot and move after the mission we correct the problem. the problem will be corrected.

next cruise,

*radios in lead and rear vehicles
*drastically reduce convoy speed
*vehicle safety inspection prior to movement
*make everyone aware of all known medical treatment facilites along route incase of emergencies
*establish vehicle intervals

these are all things that could be done to ensure a better and safer cruise but we would still have had problems and complaints...so is it really nescary when its only a cruise....i mean whats next scouts to ensure the route is clear, strykers as lead vehicles to plow through road blocks and slow drivers, this isn't iraq its interstate 5...and everything aside what i can do to make the next meet better and safer i will...if i decide to host another.

ps hahaha however sometimes i think it would be nice to have a stryker to plow through slow drivers.

We've had numerous cruise meets involving many more vehicles and yet have never ran into an issue with the police, and yet your first organized meet and this happened? Just a little common sense would have gone a long way IMO

no need to blame anyone.

But it would be nice to know where we going.

All I knew is ....Take exit 109 and take left. I assumed that we gonna stay in pack and get there together. When I noticed G missing I decided to wait for them. Thought that Zs ahead of me by seeing me slowing down to wait for the rest would do the same, but unfortunately that did not happen.

So we did take exit 109 and took left. there was nobody there but Cops on our tail.

Would be nice if you guys were somewhere where we could see you and join you.

Sux that we just had to turn around and head back after we did not find you.

Oh well. Next time.

Radios is never a bad idea, but it hasn't proven necessary in the past. Generally speaking ~5 over is comfortable for everybody.

The other thing is if you've got some people that wanna do a couple runs, those two guys move to 3rd & 4th in the pack, and everyone slows down to ~10 under, and 1st and 2nd w/ radar detectors ("rabbits") shoot up a little bit and do some scouting. 4ways or radios can be used for a go signal from the rabbits once you have clear traffic and are clear of law enforcement.

Not that I'm advocating street racing. I saw that on the Discovery channel. DO NOT DISPUTE ME!

My brotha G turned out to be the smart one and did not stop, me and the other Z brotha that was traveling with us we did pull over.

As the result we got 144 dollah present from our state finest.
Did that really happened or did the cop just made it up, you think?

i was the guy in the Nissan jacket. i think the cop made that up...i mean the one guy that isn't part of this forum did start "manuevering" with a cobra stang...but no one followed him...after they finished we did catch up by then. i think next time it should be during the day or if at night again someplace with less traffic so its easier to see whos where and if they had to slow down. i still had a hella lot of fun! i thank everyone for coming...this was my first time hosting an improv-to meet in america and i definatly learned alot...so i appreciate that! Till next time...

speeding on the stretch of i5 that u were on is just plain stupid, anyone that live remotely close to that area know that its crawling with cops from about fife to a little passed olympia.

so if u wanna do an "improv" cruise as u call it, go some place where there are potentially alot less cops

*not that i'm advocating street racing or speeding or any other illegal activities or anything like that

+1... I-5 is a cop-haven... i frequent the Seattle-to-Vancouver(BC) corridor a lot... one time i counted 5 speedtraps on I-5 in span of 3hrs... northgate, lynnwood, everett, marysville, bellingham, and ferndale...

a convoy of Z's on I-5 is a prime target for troopers... add some speed and weaver and you'll give other motorists a good reason to call the cops...

wow guys, that sucks. If the weather gets a little better, which it sounds like it will, we can have another Bellevue meet like last time. I think we had 18 cars strong.

cuz it was 8 of you and 1 of her.

She prolly did not want any trouble and on top of that you were parked and we were still on the freeway.

I really doubt she would just make it up... would she just "happen" to know that there was a group of Z's speeding on I-5?

So, let me get the cliffs straight:

Convoy of cars (~8) speeding up I5, in a No Speeding Corridor, with rainy-to-wet conditions? Real smart, guys, real smart.

Anyone want to add a log to the fire and disclose the top speed they reached?

there were only 3 of us parked...and it was after she pulled you guys over. we saw here on the side of the road...i turned my hazards on to alert everyone behind me...we were only going about 5 over maybe 10....but she closed her car door and turned on her headlights and blinker. i didn't have everyones phone number otherwise i would have called and told you were we were at...u couldn't see our cars but we were standing near the corner hoping you all would see us after the exit...but we didn't even see u guys so we figured u all packed it up and went home until i read the forums i didn't know anyone got hosed.

hahaha...let me tell u how we did it in korea...we would meet at a rest stop right off the expressway...there would be about 60-100 of us...all cars were full tuned...GT ALL DAY TUNED...not big rims and stero's tuned...but gt tuned...we would have had some coffee said hi to everyone checked out the new parts or cars...ohh and all the teams park together. then around 12:30 or 1am one of the bosses would holla out to line up...we would all line up near the on ramp...once the last car was in place he would honk or call or whatever....and we would take off at around 100-120 mph...we would play tag(leap frog whatever you wanna call it) some guys would race (intial D rules) then the ones that raced would fall back in convoy...if there was a camera ahead the lead car would put on his hazards and everyone else in the convoy would do the same until they passed the cameras. then we would all exit at the street races. the street races there were amazing!!! 200+ cars every friday night!!!! DRAG DRIFT AND CIRCUIT ALL NIGHT LONG!!!! cops showed up only once outta all the times i went and just got out and talked to everyone...got some autographs and went on about there bussiness. to many of us to take to jail or ticket. and all the show guys in there trucks and rims parked in a parking lot and just showed off there stuff all the race teams did a run down the drag area to announce there arrival...and after that parked in an area together got out and the boss would set up races with other teams or we would just watch. afterwards so guys that would want to join our team and a few other teams would leave around dawn and go to a 24 hour restraunt and eat and discuss cars and racing etc. then each team would go there seprate ways and our team would just convoy back to the shop and start working on our cars again or washing them or just do whatever until the wifey wanted to go home! I will try and get some pix or videos posted up later tonite!
