I hate when cops sit there and ***** about how its SUCH A BAD THING BECAUSE ITS LIFE THREATENING....

1. Drifting on private property is illegal and i wont sit here and say how it should be legal (ive done it myself)... So arresting them is 100% right... crime=time...

2..... OMG they are DRIFTING somebody could die! Give me a F*cking break...

Caught Reckless driving END OF STORY. pay your fine and get on with life. I just hate how they make it seem like its something crazy and super dangerous to be doing in a vacant parking lot...

Flame at me if you wish, but i haven't met anybody thats been injured while drifting in a vacant parking lot... (although im sure there have been some ppl..)

i am positive that the story is publicized because the vehicle was not their, therefore, other people's interest becomes confronted. so the dude is the middle that did the "cool" drifting is the buffer, he will be the one prosecuted. i bet the outcome would have been different if this was their own vehicle.

o yeah for sureeeeee i agree. But on the majority of the cases where people are caught drifting or doing donuts in a vacant parking lot... its described as "dangerous".... which is true to an extent but id rather sit in that parking lot than drive next to certain drivers we have on the streets

good luck vindicating your argument in front of the cops. they know alot . i have been harassed before just for being at a parking lot. Jining was with me ( the guy with the G35 TT). the cop said that he was gonna arrest me for a criminal trespass. simply: he did not know what that statute proclaims.

Funny how it was considered "reckless driving," even though the driver seemed to have decent control. I didn't see any wheels side swiping into curbs anywhere. . .oh wells. Lawyers gotta makes moneys too!

Im not to worried about cops to be honest. I will sit here and honestly admit how i have been "above the law" (to an extent, mostly when it comes to tickets)

YES i have been ticketed ummm on too many accounts to list. But the vast majority have been beaten in court.

Although i have gotten away with alot since i started driving id like to think i have respect for the law. As i said earlier... I dont disagree with them getting into trouble with the law and losing their jobs... My only issue was "media" and how everything is always WAY more dangerous than it is. I generally wont argue... But i just couldn't hold my lip on this 1... I'll NEVER argue or ***** if i get caught drifting aka reckless driving in a vacant lot. But as soon as the cop says i put lives in a fatal danger... i will quickly question that issue. But the cops are just doing thier jobs.

1) I agree that those guys should get in trouble for taking a car that's not theirs and "drifting" with it

2) They should have chosen a better lot (not next to a police station, and a place w/ less curbs)

3) I'm still surprised that the police have authority to give tickets for driving offenses when it's on private property...I think I'll reconsider going to any large open parking lots from now on - FTL! (at least autoX season has started )

*I'm all about "keeping it off the streets"...I've always thought that practicing my skills in a large open and un-used lot was safe and that it wasn't so 'bad'.

yeah, that was BS. if they begin to show everyone who is screwing around an empty parking lot on the news, it would take them hours to get through the endless list.

Whatever happened to having bigger fish to fry? Two dweebs smoking tires in an empty parking lot makes the news? Watch for me tonight, I'm going to spit on the sidewalk and then cough loudly in front of a cop.

The officer could've just as easily walked over to them, told them to gtfo of there, and then gone back to the search for real criminals.

Whatever happened to a warning? In an empty, enclosed parking lot at night. Endangering who, besides himself?
