Default G35 on the King5 news @11pm

Just a heads-up....

I just saw a newsclip on King5 about some guy in a G coupe. They showed a clip of a DG G35 drifting in a parking lot and was caught/video taped by police. Full story tonight....

wonder if its anyone on this forum?

there's a few. David said that car was taped, no info on arrests.. this might be the reason i was pulled over the other day for having a loud exhaust and no front plate.. cop was a super dick about everything on my car including my radar detector.. but no ticket.. i wonder if he thought i was this car that was doing stupid parking lot ****..

Why in the world would they choose a parking lot next to a state patrol office?
They're obviously just morons. First for doing something illegal, second for doing it with a car from the dealership they worked at, and third for the obvious reason stated in my first sentence.

I'm not saying doing illegal stuff isn't fun. I've messed around in parking lots before. However, if you must do something illegal don't do it directly in front of the enforcers of the law.

It was dealership car.

They were employees racing one of the cars dealership took in on a trade.

Yup... that's the video clip I saw in the 6 o'clock news...

I'm sure they'll have more fun looking for a new job with a criminal record...

lol.. I say the clip on the news when I got home was gonna try to catch the 11PM news to see what the full story was, but this post has saved me the trouble. Man... felony malicious mischief and reckless driving charges... I dunno what that entails but it sounds pretty serious for just f'n around in a parking lot.

just saw it, they said that the guy was fired, however, nothing was mentioned about the indictment. the trooper pulled the guy over, and found the camera on the floor still rolling. pretty dumb move.

yeah...I wonder how much of those charges are a result from the G35 not being theirs?

Also, I was always under the impression that private parking lots are not under police jurisdiction...am I wrong?

you are wrong, if the cops have probable cause, they can enter a place, although you might have had "expectation of privacy". places like that are back yards, parking lots, and their jurisdiction can be well overextended in a matter of reckless endagerment. if the guys are going down on reckless endagerment, and mischievous act, they are gonna be in deeeeeeeeep ****. esp. now with hard evidence. however, if the culprit has a clean record, they will get their indictments mitigated. so, they might get away with just a slap on the wrist
