Question Good places to exercise the 2nd Amendment?

Hey, everyone have a good Easter?

Well, Spring is in the air and I'm getting that old itch again. No, not THAT itch (medication cleared it up), the kind of itch that only blasting large holes out of rusted out appliances in the woods can scratch. I'm talking about channeling that inner redneck that lives inside us all, slapping on the 75 round drum, and using your empties for targets!

The only place I know of to go horsing around in the woods is around Oyster Bay, west of Olympia, and that's pretty far for me to go just to shoot for a few hours. I hear rumors of some good places to shoot out around North Bend, and that's about 1/3 the distance in time it takes to get to Oyster Bay. Anybody have a favorite (and LEGAL) spot to go around here?

Weather permitting, I'd like to get something planned for the first or second week of April. Might be fun to get some new acquaintances from the GG meet together out there, but small groups of 5 or 6 are definitely preferable and safer too.

I had heard that both Stossel Creek and Reider Pit were closed to vehicles/camping/shooting a couple of years ago?

Just put on some new parts and decided to take a couple pics with my craptastic 3.1mp point & shoot. Now if only the weather would start cooperating and dry out...

Details:
Remington 700 BDL in .30-06
Nikon 3-9x40mm glass on Burris rings
Harris LS Bipod
