kgw.com has Sunny and 50 for Sunday in Portland. Weather people can suck an ***; they never know what's going to happen.

Global what???

I thought I saw a lost & found a couple of days ago. Apparently the "experts" have lost all of the ocean heat that they had been tracking. They're looking for it, apparently it isn't where they left it.

ignoring the debate about whether global warming is occuring or not, do you understand that looking at a day or two in a temperature trend means diddly squat? What happens over decades or centuries is what is important

I'm sorry, which part of my statement did you not understand. I never said it was, my point is that claiming that snow in march somehow debunks global warming is a fallacy

Haha sounds like we have a back up meet planned! Since we are going all out with helmets and gloves, I have some old martial arts sparing chest pads we can use too haha. Don't want anyone to catch a telephone pole to the chest.

woke up this morning and had almost 1" of snow on my deck...

only good thing about the snow is that it makes the Z feel more powerful...the rear end lost traction in 4th gear when I was getting on the freeway (a bit scary, but a good boost to my adrenaline!)

It's not just snow in March -- which is why I posted a link to the NPR article.

The Earth goes through cycles. It has been significantly warmer in the past -- as well as significantly colder, even in the past 100 years.

This is, by far, the coldest Spring Break I've ever experienced.

Once again, I am not debating whether or not global warming is occurring or not. All I am saying is that bringing up the global warming issue because it snowed in march is poor reasoning

just drove in to seattle from boise

i was worried yesterday about the storm but when i got up it was nice and sunny and i thought maybe i might get lucky...

all the way to la grande OR, it was great then it got wet and apparently they dont use sand or de-icer they use rock and gravel (it was brutal) it was that way until pendelton

then it was cloudy and drizzly until snoqualmie, (i dont know how to spell it) but it was fine. then i saw some mean looking clouds over snoqualmie when i stopped at ellensburg to fill up and grab some eats. suprisingly it was nice, did about 90 all the way to the top and on the west side old man winter said hello. it got dark, fast, and the snow was coming the f&%$ down! i had to stop suddenly and while i was downshifting i got almost full sideways right in front of a semi (that woke me up) but all is good and im here now. you bastards better not chicken out cause of a little rain tomorrow after what i just went through lol.

see you guys soon (hopefully)
