Holy $27k for bail!!!! time for a my350 fundraiser... The "Get Brian out of jail so he's not getting demasculated and belittled by his girlfriend James and also help him make bail so he can get his Z out of the impund lot and accruing more and more charges everyday fundraiser"
On a serious note this sucks. I know you get what you deserve and he's responsible for the actions he decided to take but wow I just feel sorry for him now.
PS: Is it really true about interstate CCL? My buddy is getting his soon and lives in Portland and works a lot of the time in Washington. I'll have to tell him about that.

Damn, DUI and a loaded gun.
Nothing like throwing in a federal offense with a DUI.
I hope he gets a good lawyer, but if it is his 3rd DUI as someone mentioned, then he's pretty much up the creek without a paddle, and a hole in the boat.

Here, 3 strikes you're out law won't apply since at least first DUI is considered gross misdemeanor, but this is what I found by a quick research on DUI law in Washington state.
"DUI Law -
Drunk driving (DUI) is a gross misdemeanor. The maximum confinement sentence for a gross misdemeanor is one year in jail. The DUI law contains a complex system of mandatory minimum penalties that escalate based on the number of prior offenses and the concentration of alcohol in the offender's blood or breath (BAC).
The penalties range from one day in jail for a first time offender with a BAC under 0.15, to 120 days in jail and 150 days of electronic home monitoring for an offender who has a BAC over 0.15 and has two or more prior offenses within seven years. In addition to mandatory jail time, the court must impose minimum fines ranging from $350 to $1,500 and license suspension ranging from 90 days (for a first time offender with a low BAC) to four years (for a multiple offender with a high BAC). A DUI offender is also subject to alcohol assessment, mandatory use of ignition interlocks, and probation.
A "prior offense" counts to increase an offender's sentence under the DUI laws if the arrest for that offense occurred within seven years of the arrest for the current offense. "Prior offenses" include convictions for: (1) DUI; (2) vehicular homicide and vehicular assault if committed while under the influence; (3) negligent driving after having consumed alcohol ("wet neg"), reckless driving, and reckless endangerment if the original charge for any of those offenses was DUI; and (4) any equivalent local DUI ordinance or out-of-state law. In addition, a deferred prosecution for DUI or "wet neg" counts as a prior offense even if the charges are dropped after successful completion of the deferred prosecution treatment program. "
So, according to this, he will be gone for a minimum of 120 days in jail unless he can bail till his sentencing. Ouch! That's not counting the charge for his firearm. I hope he and all of us learned a lesson here....

Heres a good site for the info:
http://www.saf.org/reciprocity.html
there you can see that Oregon CHLs are honored only by ID, IN, KY, MI, MT, and UT. Washington does not honor Oregon CHLs (retarded IMO since they are joined at the hip, but thats another debate) so you cannot carry there with an Oregon license. Washington in fact does not honor any other state's CHL. Hope this helps,

Sounds like someone is getting a public defender!
How does this happen? Can't we make reasonable decisions?
How old is this guy? 13? I love this thread. So many lessons

hes going to have to pay for is car twice at this rate... the old impound lot i used to work at charged like 60 for hookup for the tow then 3 bucks per mile to the lot... then 45 to drop the car in the lot then it was like 16.95 per day spent in the lot.... that part of its going to suck even if he does get out anytime soon
