Unhappy Z got a new home...

I've been going back and forth contemplating selling the Z over the last few months to go back to school. I got a call 2 days ago for a guy to check it out and I sat there with the phone in my hands for a good hour before getting the ***** to call him back and set up an appointment. The guy was super chill. He's 62 y/o landscaper and is a die hard Nissan fan. He use to build old 240 and 280's and is moving on to something a little more modern to autoX.

I'm on the lookout for a nice DD now I've been looking at TSX's, IS300's, and even infiniti g sedan's. I'll still be on here often but it's been awesome owning a Z and hopefully will come back to one in the future. Thanks again to all the people who helped me make this decision and helped push me to go back to school. This really is a new start for me and I'm looking forward to the near future. -Chris-

Im not sure i follow you. You sold your Z and now want to pick up a G sedan or an IS300 because your going back to school? Why do you want a sedan for going back to school? If you had an 03 i dont really think your going to be saving any money if you buy one of those cars. Why not just buy a civic or something that gets good gas milage? It would be cheaper and would save you some cash in the long run.

I can pickup an IS or G sedan for around $13k that saves me a lot compared ot finishing out my $400.00+/mnth Z pymnt. I've checked out civics but had a horrible experience with them. I'm also looking at 01TL's/CL's. just something a little more comfortable that I won't worry about constantly in the school parking lot.

I'd highly recommend getting the G sedan or IS, since they're RWD. FWD sucks *****, so that eliminates the TSX, TL, and the boat-like CL.

Good point. I thought the old TL's were RWD too or did they switch them in 04 with the new style?

my old car was an IS300. Loved the ride, hated the performance. I think I still got the full sound system, tein flex coilovers with edfc, 55-75 shot zex wet nitrous kit, headers, and test pipes in my garage if you end up getting that car.

The TL has never been RWD. It's based on the Accord.

Dude throw that stuff up on my.is and get rid of it! I know you've got plenty of addt'l mods planned for the Z. Keep the EDFC though, and install them with a set of Tein Mono Flex coilovers.

Damn, those are stiff for daily driving. I had a set, changed my mind, and got rid of them before installing.

I'm gonna try and keep this is stock as possible (if there is such a thing )
But yea I would definitely list that up on myIS. If you still have it when I have the funds might pickup the system from you though. But I'll keep you posted on if I get one.

traded it in with 44k miles, needed a new motor and tranny. I also ran nitrous through it for about 20-30k of that, with drag strip's every weekend.
