Lineup is dope, but I'm just not sure if any of the homies will actually be down. The Gorge is a long drive...

Off the top of my head: Nas, Dead Prez, Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, Method Man, Raekwon, Ghostface, Redman, Mos Def, Rakim, etc..

i went to the toronto show
it was pretty sick but i'd suggest bringing some sort of chair because we was standing for 12 hours straight and everyone was exhausted...

i'm not sure if all people listed on the site show up to every show but in toronto we didn't get dead prez and raekwan , mf doom , ghost face

the show was awesome though. everyone had a lot of energy.

down side was ..
this was one of the worst organized events i've been to (at least that was the case in toronto) the sound boy kept screwing up and there was 1 pizza booth and a hot dog/sandwich booth which meant lining up for like 30 minutes to get a slice of over priced pizza and water. oh yeah they wouldn't let us bring in water bottles because it could be used as a weapon. pure cash grab.

there was also a lot of waiting between sets , rakim was mad late and almost didn't perform cuz of sound system issues

other than that it was a good day.

From my experience at underground hip hop concerts, the proportion of white people is actually pretty high

Crazy. I guess I must be old since I didn't think the guys I listened to in high school like Nas, Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, Method Man, Raekwon, Ghostface, Redman, etc were "underground." Maybe bigger on the east coast? That would be a badass concert. . .

The scene for that is pretty decent back on the east coast (Detroit). And yeah, the proportion is pretty high, because you find a lot of people that are more into the music than their (lack of, generally speaking) radio play and popularity.

They are "underground" by today's standards, true hip hop heads still listen to the classics, while the masses are looking for the newest one hit wonder with some catchy hook

I'm with you on that one. There are alot of groups I considered pretty main stream, with hit radio singles....but I'm constantly surprised when people don't know anything about them, or any of their songs.

Tito, I'm down to go....seriously. I've been going to a bunch of concerts lately. In the past year or so I've seen: Talib, Musiq, Common Market, Glow in the Dark Tour (Kanye, Rihanna, NERD, Lupe), De La Soul, Lupe, Gabriel Teodros, Grynch, Khingz, Roots, Bumbershoot (Wu-Tang, Lupe, John Legend, Joss Stone, Tribe)...umm...maybe others.
