Default Wheel Painting

Yup.. I'm ghetto.. I'm thinking of painting my wheels again... This time I'm going dark navy blue.. like the volks mag blue, but darker.. my question is about the paint.. for my current setup i used duplicolor wheel finish.. do you think i could use standard auto paint and throw wheel clear coat on it? How will it stand up to time?

Yep, that should work. You don't want to use just autobody paint if you want them to last more than a couple of months. Brake dust (not to mention the possibility of brake fluid and othe chemicals) is harsh stuff and road debris can be really abrassive over time. I think the Duplicolor clear coat gives it that protection but may change the shade slightly.

When you've put the clear coat on, wet sand the wheels and then buff them up, you will be amazed at the results ...
