Buddy, you need to start measuring things before you buy them.

You Z guys have no idea what you're talking about, since the 4080 custom boxes are only made for G's. It has nothing to do with that. Manufacturers provide the mounting diameter and depth, which works. However, this box is shaped funny because it follows the curves of the trunk/wheelwell perfectly. There's no way to know until you physically test fit it. You gotta pay to play, so that's what I'm doing.

I guess I'm confused. You have the diameter and mounting depth, what doesn't fit?

Usually the castings are too large and bulky on alot of subs

What do YOU mean, "you people???"

But yeah, it has to do with the size and shape of the basket or spider or whatever you call it. Unfortunately it's impossible to get those specs.

Hm. Interesting. I'm going to have to catch a glimpse of this warlock next time you're out so I can see wtf is going on because I just can't visualize how that would be an issue.

At any rate, good luck finding something fits.

It's a custom molded box, so yeah it's kinda hard to explain, but you'll understand as soon as you glance at it.

Running it in series at 4-ohm and pushing it with the JL 500/1.This sub was clearly built for SQ, and it's pretty damn clean. It sounds awesome, and it's always nice to have something less common. If it didn't fit, I would've had to resort to getting a JL 10w6v2 that everyone has. Image Dynamics FTW.
