Default tuning - suggestions?

I have all of the performance mods that I want on my car now - I am going to let em get some break in time for a month or two before tuning. I was curious if any of you could recommend me a good local tuner that isn't terribly expensive?

I've added a plenum spacer, pop charger and a cat back exhaust - not a whole lot, but I am happy with where the car is at. What kind of gains are realistic after tuning? I am not expecting much since I didn't do headers and hfc's or test pipes, but I am curious.

I know a full tune is more optimal as well - but are reflashes/presets being loaded onto the ECU worth while? seems like that would be a fifth of the cost, but wouldnt be specifically for my car with the mods the way they are..?

any info is appreciated

get test pipes, then get a tune. should be around 15-20whp IIRC

I'm not really fond of the idea of getting test pipes, despite the awesome gains :/

I guess the ultimate goal is to find a local tuner that knows the 350z well and doesn't charge out the *** - any suggestions?

Gains at the wheels? Probably like what...10-15? Not much. No need to get a tune when that's all you've done.

I thought so. I figure that is a pretty cost effective thing to do though, considering I spent more then a tune would cost on an exhaust system, all for 10hp and some sound

but from the looks of things you care more about the looks/sound of the car than you do the performance. So in that case, I would just save that money that you would spend on the tune and get a front lip or something like that.

I just feel the stock performance of the car is damn impressive enough to me, I am easy to satisfy in that department, everything else I've driven was much slower . Don't get me wrong - performance is damn important to me, I am just satisfied.

being that its my DD and I do a lot of city driving, would a proper reflash net me any better MPG? I've heard it can help a little, I just need to figure out if it would be worth the money.

that looks pretty cool. I just read up on that. maybe I'm not ready for this - I don't want to drop 700$ on it.

drew was the first local z owner I met up with.. I didn't get to see him go WOT, but I know damn well what his car is capable of. surprisingly enough, he didn't want to trade for my (at the time) stock Z.

I am still more then satisfied with the power my car has.

I've heard nothing but good things about Osiris. Talk to Lawrence, the owner of Intec, or Chris (he is their main tuner). He is a WEALTH of knowledge...tuned all of my road race cars

Not many local tuners, what are you trying to have tuned? I recommend trent @ worldone or Dyno authority in Kirkland
