Default wheels (color) on a lemans sunset Z

what is your guys take on this? I figure you can't go wrong with flat or polished black, but I am seeing some bronze and gunmetal that might look alright as well.

what would you go with?

I'm a fan of gunmetal. A lot of people vote for black, but I'm just not a fan of black wheels in general.

bronze or gold is a bit much on a Le Mans, it makes you seems like all "Top Secret'ed" out. I vote for Flat black

I am leaning towards gun metal, or black depending on what I find..

bronze just jumped out at me - some tints of it are kind of nice looking on lemans.. but they are pretty rare to find a decent looking one.

anyways, I am sticking with 17s - what offset range would you guys stay within?

17's for the street?

Tell us the widths, and I can tell you the offsets.

17s? I don't think 350zs even come anymore in 17in wheels. If your going aftermarket, the minimum is 18s to not look funny. 19s is best however.

while we're at it, I really like that titek air duct as well. I know the claim is no water gets through, I just don't see how. It worries me too much living in WA using it as a daily driver with a big ol duct shooting right at my open air filter..

why on earth are you getting a 17x8? please dear god at least get an 18x10-18x11. Or jump up to an 19". you are into looks, so go with wider wheels and tires, also bigger wheels. The wider tires will help for traction as well for when you step on it a little bit.

You'd be surprised...water really doesn't get into it. And it doesn't connect all the way through to the air filter. I've got the Nismo intake, but I wouldn't think twice about having the intake duct even if I had a JWT Popcharger. It's not going to get to the filer...I've driven the car in hard storms numerous times.

There's a powdercoating shop on mukilteo speedway - 40$ a wheel, I am torn between a dark gunmetal grey or a black tone..

going this route to hold me over until I can buy some real wheels rather then waste my money on some 17x8s

.. now to find a way to get my wheels off and still get to work for a few days.

i lack jack stands.. I was thinking one of the cheapest ways to do this and still be able to drive the car to get to work etc, would be to buy some cheap *** steel wheels+tires off of craigslist? what do you guys think :/

or if any locals have some loaners I could "rent" for a reasonable fee, they said the turn around time is 5 days, I told her its my daily car and I would need it sooner, she said she can do it faster but couldnt say how fast.

my work commute is 10 miles there and back and I would baby the **** out of them, can offer collateral etc..

Just save your money until you can buy wheels...don't bother powdercoating, that's $160 you can put towards new wheels.
