Am I the only one with 6 laptops I dont use laying around, 4 motherboards, 1 watercooling system , 3 extra cases maybe 4, 14 extra CPU and video card coolers. ram from various machines, etc... LOL, SCOTT!!

 

I have a full fledged chop shop at work, I don't need one at home too. I upgrade components and sell the old ones or sell the entire thing and build a new rig when the time comes : P

Boxes of procs, mobos, video cards.. and I can't get rid of it because it's all theoretically useful!

I have a bunch of old **** still, but when I moved not too long ago, I tossed a TON of old stuff. PC100/133 ram, an old K6-2, motherboards for that nonsense, a T-bird 1000, a few cases and PSUs, a few old PCI video cards, network cards, modems, etc.

BUT, I did keep the two coolest things:

A Diamond Monster 3D II Voodoo 2 12mb card and IBM token ring card.

Those were just too cool to let go.

As for stuff I need, if anybody has it laying around for free/cheap:

Any 775 proc + cooler of some variety, and some DDR2 800 ram. I need it for my media center box. It doesn't have to be fast or high quality, it just has to work.

 

well wasuber doesn't want my stock intel E6600 heatsink/fan, you are welcome to it free of charge just pick it up. works well. might make finding a cpu a bit cheaper.

voodoo 2 .. that was the first card I bought so I could play quake 2. I was ****in blown away at how different / amazing the game looked on Open GL compared to software graphics. hah : )
