Default pc dorks, processor for sale! (E6600, intel 2.4 dual core)

Picked up an E8400 for my birfday, selling my old processor. Had it for a year, it's an E6600 intel conroe 2.4ghz dual core processor, fits any motherboard with an LGA 775 socket. Still in my machine but I'm making the swap tonight or tomorrow.

Comes with the stock heat sink as well, it is advisable to stop by a local PC shop or order some new thermal paste online for a couple of bucks, and to clean off the current stuff rather then reuse it. use a thin layer don't go nuts!

75$, or best offer, local pick up.

for the non dorks that opened this thread unwillingly, a valentine's card to make you smile.

Hm. I could use this. But, for $75, I could get a new retail Wolfdale.

I am not a hard dude to work with. I threw up 75$ because I see them on ebay going for more : )

you are right, there is a 2.5ghz wolfsdale for 72$ brand new. this cost me over 200 new when I got it. conroe is slightly better, though, clock speed isn't everything. wolfsdale FSB @ that clock speed is 800mhz (compared to 1066 for the Conroe) and the L2 cache is only 2mb (Conroe is 4mb)

that aside I am easy to work with, not stingy.

wasuber @ 50$ - that's fine with me even. I have a couple of emails from CL as well but the majority of them are flakes : P

no extra boards around here, I don't really keep spare parts. I am using the same moboard (gigabyte ds3 series) that I bought a year ago to replace a faulty asus board that refused to run ram in all four slots :d
