Default Need audio install shop recommendation...

I lack the time, patience, and skill set to do it quickly enough, but I am looking to have two items installed in my Z and am looking for installer recommendations.

The first is one of the ipod adapters for the '06. I can't recall the specific item, but I found great information here on the site. I'll buy it but want someone to install it. I hate taking dashes apart.

At the same time, I want to have a quad Laser Interceptor installed. So I'd like a shop that preferably has some experience with installation of Laser Countermeasures. Tacoma/South Sound area.

Contact Pete's 03SVT here on the forums. local guy that lives in Lynnwood. does this both professionally and on the side. stellar work, clean installs, highly recomended. he charges about half of what a shop will charge, and no tax!

This work is stuff he does on the side. it's not his priority to check the forum to see if he has new business

yeah, I know he recently started a new job too, and didnt check these forums all that often to begin with. I'll send him a text msg to tell him to check the forum when he gets a minute.

he is a really stand up dude. he really went the extra mile on my alarm install.

doesn't he do it professionally to though? i'm willing to take it to his shop also. i'd just like it done by someone who's not gonna ******** me or treat me like idk what i'm talking about. i 've seen scott's car and was very impressed by the install. very clean and subtle. i've done many custom installs before, i just don't like to mess with alarms. too much thinking and not enough fabricating for me.

As Entaille said, he recently switched jobs, so it's not a professional gig any more.

I'll try and get a hold of him as well.

He set a date and told me a price and then never contacted me after we had a definite day set. There is a difference between not checking the forum to see if he has new business and not honoring his word and being flakey with no apology or reschedule date after we had several pm's. Nothing against anyone vouching for the guy or his work or him, just stating the fact. I will still let him do my install if he pms me.

If it's basic headunit, amp, sub install. I've done many of those, if you really want I can sit down and guide you how to install this stuff. It's not that bad.

Just my .02 =]

I also do alarms, doing my friends 240sx tonight (Clifford pager alarm w/ remote start).

I texted him and got no response. I'm not sure what's goin on with him, I'll send him an email. I recall him telling me he left his cell phone in a customers car at his old job so I am not positive he ever got it back or if that's even his # anymore, lol.

Yeah, I couldn't get a hold of him either. But, I did get in touch with his roommate, and told him to let Pete know to surface himself.

So, I just got back from visiting Pete.

He is indeed alive and well. As was suspected, the new job and school has kept him exceptionally busy. It also turns out that his phone is busted and can only text. Apparently all of his calls go to voicemail, and then the voicemail records them ten times, and will only let him delete one, which means he has a full mailbox all the time. So, apologies to anybody who's tried to get a hold of him and hasn't been able to.

So, anybody that's needing security or ICE installs, if ya'll can hold off about a month, he'll be all set with school, and back in business. And then maybe he can get a new phone.
