Actually no. The owner has a WRX that has been modded nicely. You should drop in and check out what they are doing these days. Who knows, maybe even a superstar like yourself might be impressed.

Why would a random lurker that only comes out of hiding to promote a shop they're buddy works at, and then pretend like they're a part of this community and know what they're talking about? Funny you throw out the d-bag title, since my bad experience at that shop was because the owner and/or employees decided that reading car mags and chit-chatting with each other was more important than helping out a customer that came in the front door. Besides, the clapped out customer cars that sport the VTR stickers are always a joke, and even worse, so are all the shop sponsored cars. I used to be up in Everett all the time, so I'd see them all the time.

VTR is a great shop, I've seen them all in action and utilized their skill sets for various things on multiple cars. I've referred multiple friends to them that have been more then satisfied with the work and pricing as well.
the atmosphere is great, I BS with the dudes there anytime I'm picking up a part, they are super friendly and helpful.
It's Everett, I think everyone is aware the majority of cars around here are garbage compared to the richer surrounding areas. I can appreciate any car that someone's put a lot of work into to personalize it. yeah, there's a lot of junkers, and a lot of ricers, but customers are customers, and project cars are works in progress.
despite that, I've seen some really kick *** cars being worked on there. if you have any doubts I am sure Wayne would be happy to show off a bunch of pictures.
I've been to VTR a few dozen times, not only for my cars, but for friends cars, for advice on car issues, for ideas on how to handle diy car projects, hell even just to drop in and bs if they aren't swamped. they are really kick *** at the shop. out of all of those visits, even when nobodies up front, someone's always come up front when I've walked in the door. can't recommend them enough.
