So, I know ya'll are gonna say "search".. BUT, I just wanted a quick list of all the local aftermarket shops around the area that you all trust.
thanks guys
thanks guys
Like aftermarket to buy goods? or to do both sell then install?
WorldOne
Intec
VTR
probably in that order but doubt I'd let them do more than suspension tuning.
Drift Office is the place to go. (go Bob!)

For dyno tuning I exclusively use Drift Office in Auburn (4 wheel Dynojet) 8-Velocity in Lynnwood (2 wheel Dynojet), unless it's a dyno day where it's cheap and you just want a couple quick pulls.
I have my own tuner, but from experiences of friends and other enthusiasts, I'd say either Drift Office or English Racing in Vancouver, WA.
I've done nearly all my installs myself, or with the help of friends. For anything I can't handle myself, I'd only trust one of a select four friends that happen to be ASE certified Master techs, that most of you have already heard of. Have referred quite a few forum members to them already, for everything from superchargers to camber kits to scheduled maintenance. Also have a friend that is the head painter at a local bodyshop, and have referred a couple members to him as well for paint, bodywork, and bodykit install.

Pat, have you considered just putting all of your copypasta in your sig for easier access? bla bla ASE bla bla master bla bla offsets bla bla rotas suck dinosaur.
for that, i'd prolly recommend vendors on here. most of the time thats the best way to get the best price. and you don't have to pay tax on out of state orders...
Scott, I know you're kidding around, but it's the reason this thread was started, and why you see threads asking for recommendations from time to time. Like I said, most of you have heard it before, but plenty of newer members or lurkers prob haven't. Enthusiasts everywhere have the same problem--they don't have a shop or mechanic that they trust, that is qualified/capable, has the proper knowledge/experience, and does it in a timely manner for minimal coin. I'm doing a public service over here!

He's probably right. Buying aftermarket parts online, for the most part, is hard to argue with these days. Despite shipping costs, you save alot in sales tax. Really aren't any local shops that carry anything substantial in stock for 350Z's, unfortunately.

At the risk of being flammed
Why are a few of you so complimentary about the Drift Office?
Their shop wasn't impressive and Bob acted like he was doing favors charging $60 for dyno pulls. Something there I'm not seeing?

^ its the only shop around here that built a high power z (well, cantrell built colin's, but they charge an arm and a leg and a half). it was an 05 i think, built motor, aps extreme kit, fcon, tuned by sam at gtm. made 6xx whp on low boost. the owner totaled it a month or 2 (maybe 3) after it was completed though, now they have the engine sitting in their shop...
imo, they're the most experienced vq shop locally...

That's a fair question. I've been recommending Drift Office for a couple years. Half a dozen of my friends have AE86's, so they've been buying parts and tuning there since the shop's beginning. A few others have Evo 8/9/10 so they've been going there lately, too. Bob is a standup guy, too. They just moved into their new shop a couple months ago, so they're still getting settled. Not that it effects us, but they're one of the few around here with a 4 wheel dyno. Sounds like they're going to start carrying ems's for us, and master the tuning, so we'll finally have a shop that specializes in that.

So, all that being said.. say I wanted to run up to one of these shops and pick up lowering springs, which one of the local shops that you guys listed would have anything in stock, if at all.
