yeah, it means your registered and you should get an email also with event info
are peter and bill going also?
and to answer you questions from the previous post, there wasn't any official timing. they times a few cars with a stop watch, and one guy had an onboard gps lap timer thing. i believe his best time was 1:11.xx, it was an s2k on v710's. everyone was pretty sure he was the fastest one out there.
as far as top speed, i think i hit about 85 (not sure, never really looked at the speedo). i was a bit into 3rd on the back straight, and almost at the top of 3rd on the front straight. but thats on the sti with much shorter gearing than z's

I got an e-mail response back from Chris. I'm all signed up. I'll probably have the Z there since the S14 has been a little grumpy lately (the diff isn't sounding very healthy). Will you have the STi or the Z out?
I haven't heard from Peter yet, he was (IS) in Vancouver BC for the Canadian Nationals this past weekend I believe. Bill is still iffy. I think he loves work SOOOO much that he can't bare to think of taking even one day off.
Luckily I do not share the same affliction.
I mentioned this to Joe (green S13 coupe, drift setup) he seems interested too.

I won't be making it out this time (been taking to much time off lately), but I'll be taking the Z the next time I do go. I'm sure the sti is faster around that course, but I think the Z will be more fun.
Are you doing the full day? I might be able to get off early and come out to watch a few laps...

I'm signed up to do a full day. I shouldn't be taking time off to do this, but I figure I should do this once before the price goes up and/or it gets harder to get in on this.
How many sessions did you run?
Earlier today I heard that 1:11 is about what the 250cc shifter karts are doing on the full course. If that S2k was doing that... OMG! It's one seriously fast machine!

I lost count at how many sessions. It worked out to be about 1 per hour. But people start to be tired towards the end of the day. So if you're upto it you can run more. Honestly, I got more track time then I could handle (which I can't say about any other driving event I've done, including the nurburgring). I got home, took a shower, and went straight to bed (at about 7 pm) and slept till the next morning.
yeah, it helps that the guys can drive to! I went with him for a ride, and my fata$$ cost him 2 sec's. He's relatively stock powerwise (it didn't feel all that fast in a straight line, my z is easily faster) but he has alot in the chassis. Iirc, he's on ohlin's coilovers and a bunch of other stuff. Its a silver s2k with a bookshelf carbon wing and a pretty cool looking roll bar.
