body shop recomendations?
You'll probably see a pretty high number from them too. They do a lot of high-end classic and hot rod work. But, it's worth it imo. Both I and wasuber have had work done there.
Don't go to Barrett's on Canyon....I know it looks all nice and fancy but what a bunch of scammers.
I had a few roundy-rounds with them when I was getting the Rogue fixed after it got rear-ended.
I took the car in and showed them all the damaged parts including underneath parts that you can only see if you crawl under....they had the car for a week and all they did was fix a dent in the tailgate, replaced the rear bumper and hand straighten all the other bent parts. My exhaust was bent out of shape, dented and the tip was scatched and out of round as well as alignment. All they did was hammer it round again and tried to straighten the chrome tip......as if I wasn't going to notice.
I made them replace all of the damaged parts to put it back to new.
The job they did the first time was something any garage monkey could do on his own driveway......in an afternoon.
They also seemed to somehow scratch the sh|t out of the tail lights and leave masking tape all over the hatch and latch assembly.
I had to deal with them for another week and a half to get everything done right....after they said it was all repaired.
Don't think I'm ever gonna take the Z there....They FAIL !!

GO to JMI in Arlington!
worth the drive! jeff will take car of ya~
he did mine and looks awsome

he mostly does kits and lips of that sort. so he should be pretty familiar with after market parts rather then a reg. body shop

Yes, damnit. I hate it when ppl don't update or even let ppl know about your new thread. Damn car looks great!
I'm in the process of doing my research to figure out which shop is going to paint and put on my nismo v3 full kit. The research I have done so far is...
Top Picks...
Phantasy Kolors (Brian)
Super nice on the phone. Answered all my questions. Quoted $2000-$3500.
Lakeside Collision (Chris)
Also super nice. Said they just finished doing a kit on a porsche. Quoted $3000-$3500+ starting (yikes)
Bellevue Auto Rebuild (Sal)
Also nice guy. Said they don't do tons of bodykits. Said they were the only authorized GTR painter. Quoted $2000-$3500
Others...
Bel-Kirk Body Shop: Was very rude to me on the phone and said they won't touch the body kit. Fawk these guys. Wouldn't even answer any of my paint questions either.
JMI Motoring:
Left message. No call back...yet. Ask someone on here that used them in the past and they said they wouldn't go back to them again because the quality started to go down hill. Another person I talked to said their work is spot on perfect and is better than Phantasy Kolors.
Got a hold of JMI Motoring finally. Talked with Jeff. Really cool to talk too. Answered all my paint questions. Said he was backed up with about 2 months worth of work but to call around mid-may to schedual a time to swing by and see some paint work.
