Factory Five has the GTM kit up for auction on Ebay. Question is: can a bidder buy it for less than their regular $19,990.00 kit price?

I've been on Factory Five's mailing list since the start of this year - after requesting a DVD. In July Factory Five sent out a flyer advertizing "save up to $2,499" on the GTM kit. According to the ad if you ordered a GTM kit: "Save up to $2,499 with Purchase of a GTM, Get $2,000 cash back or almost $2,500 in options!" They may still honor that promotion with sales being down.....

i called today, and yes, they are still running the special. i highly doubt they will sell it for less than $18,000 on ebay though. probably a good way to get more money for it if smeone doesn't know about the specials.
i plan to do the $2500 included options deal. the a/c and heater controls/ducts is $1350 by itself. so you could get it for $18,000 + $1350=$19350, or pay $20,800 and get the hvac set up and carbon fiber splitter, rear carbon fiber add on pieces, wicked cold air intake, new engine harness, and a few other things.

I looked at your ad on Ebay. I think a few changes would really help you sell this car. You have such a cool car but few pictures of it out in full daylight so we can't really get the best look at it. I'm just trying to help you here - to give you an outsider's view. Looking at the ad gives the impression the car may not be legal and/or unable to be licensed for street use. 1) Ebay rejected your VIN number - raising a red flag - 2)you don't provide the VIN to the car and 3) you mention that it has not been registered since 1986. Include the VIN number so bidders can verify it is a real street car - and a real one of a kind Manta. Remove your statement: "and is probably the last of an original built Manta". The reader sees only: "Is probably an original Manta". Lets not leave any doubt - this is the real deal. Again, Please Don't take this the wrong way- I am just giving you my two cents and want to help you sell this car. After all - we need you to show us how a GTM kit car goes together ..........

I agree with the above. I got similar impressions while viewing your ad. I also saw some of the 'before' pictures and you don't want to confuse your potential buyers with what the car may or may not look like now. only provide recent pictures IMO - possibly mention that you have pics from before you started working on it?

i do really appreciate the help to sell the car. ebay has a certain vin sequence they are looking for and on a hand built car it does not match their sequence of numbers. look around and mine is not the only one by far. if the numbers do not match ebays liking, then you have my auction. i have a clear title sitting right here. as far as being lisenced for street use, look at the custom plate that was issued.
only serious people ask for more pictures. which makes it perfect for me to find out who is the daydreamer or someone with money in hand. i try to weed out the lookers.

wanted to show the other wheels. car now has 140 watchers and crested 3000 views. my ad can't be all that bad.
