i am possibly interested in the y-pipe, but have a question. Will the nismo y-pipe installed on a 2006 stock 350z have much improvement on power or more of a deeper tone while driving? tried searching but everyone has an aftermarket exhaust on it.

Do you have a base 06? If you have the newer motor, than I believe the exhaust wont fit... As for the tone, you will barely notice the sound difference but it will make the tone deeper. The improvement of the power from the y-pipe comes from being the same piping size has the test pipe and the rest of the exhaust. Honestly, I don't think it will make much of a difference at all if you put it on your stock exhaust.

Hey Jason!
I guess we did not know that we both were members of My350Z.com when we were emailing each other from the Craigslist ad, maybe that would had made a difference and I would have had them Nismo V2 Sides...

You will barely notice the sound difference but it is a needed item when doing exhaust upgrades. When I had the nismo y-pipe on with the stock exhaust, it sounded pretty much the same but maybe a little deeper sounding. However when I installed it with the Fujitsubo exhaust, it made a much more noticeable difference than when I had it with the stock y-pipe.
But anyways, I had this on my 03 and think it was well worth it.

As I said before, the power difference difference is gonna be minimal because of the different piping size from the stock mid-pipe and I think the stock test pipe as well. When installed with a aftermarket exhaust, the power difference is quite noticeable IMO. However, if you had the stock y-pipe with lets say a nismo exhaust, you won't be getting full potential of the exhaust. Hope that all makes sense. Lets put it this way, if you're gonna be doing power mods to your car, you're gonna want to do the y-pipe.
