Check your lower control arm (LCA) inner bushings.
I changed all my bushings, when the Nismo ones became available, a couple years ago. If anyone wants to change out bushings I have a huge 50-ton press privately and is FREE to use.

I got mine from the old performance Nissan. I got them when they first came out, was on the waiting list, had one of the first sets in USA. I changed mine to eliminate bad squirm during 100+mph heavy braking issues.
The only bushings that really seam to fail are the lower control arm inner pivots.
I wish they had a good bushing solution for the compression rod.

John, was it you that replaced your subframe bushings years ago, or am I thinking of someone else locally that did that?
As far as the old bushings on the LCA, assuming you'd like to try it w/ out a press, what option would you think would work best? Cut, drill + cut, or burn them out?

I pressed out the old ones pressed in new bushings.
LCA bushings were easy. The lower link on rear suspension had .018" interference, stalled the pump motor on the 50 ton press several times to remove and replace, not easy.
I changed all bushings that Nismo makes for the car, LCA bushings made extreme braking with violent manuevers much less of a pucker factor. The car used to feel like it was towing out when braking just short of ABS engagement @ 100+mph.
I haven't changed rear subframe to body mount bushings yet. The diff. mount bushings may be next to help wind-up chatter from the damn Nismo LSD.
The press is at the north end of Chuckanut Drive, south side of Bellingham, local to MY world.

Slowly but surely (more slowly than anything) I'm building up to an SCCA IB (or IC depending on how the 2010 and on rules are) class. Bushings are one thing that I'll have to eventually have to address. The subframe ones are of a particular concern since I know what a huge job it is on an S13/S14.
Helped a friend (first350) push the bushings out of his LCAs on his Miata w/ the Harbor Freight bushing removal tool set. It wasn't easy and this was a Miata. I can't imagine how much tougher it would be for the Z's components. If I ever get the time to do this upgrade before this summer I might take you up on your offer. Thanx.

If you have the all the arms off and all the bushings it takes maybe 1 hour to press everything out then back in. The press I use is driven by a large 3 phase motor driving a hydraulic pump, The bottom of the pressing foot is over 6' off the ground and the over all height is about 9'. We also have a very large (5 ton) floor standing arbor press that will do almost all the bushing.
I've done several Chevy, Alfa Romeo, and Fiat front ends in the last couple years.
We just dig around the press for pusher or use sockets. If we can't find the correct size we just go to the lathe.
